It's sad to see Smoak go in a way, him being the centerpiece of that big trade and coming to SEA with all those expectations im sure was tough. It was fun to watch him these past few years as he showed flashes of promise along with his inexperience. He for sure went through a lot of scrutiny and adversity off & on the field...he was supposed to be one of the faces of the 'new mariners' but it didn't work out that way. I'll never root against Justin Smoak and wish him the best in Toronto.

Had to happen. Too many trips to AAA where he dominated, just to come up to the Majors and look like complete dog $^@&. Hard to believe we traded an ace for the guy.

Similar to Hosmer's career path without the breakout campaign. Elite defense at 1B in the minors, raw power with his bat. Never came to fruition.

Yeah I'd take HanRam, he's actually willing to play other positions and a lot younger than Martinez.
