**Seattle Mariners 2024 Season Thread ** | 6-8 | v. Cubs & Reds |

Did I just hear on MLBTonight correctly that you guys had only 9 home games in the entire last month of the season? Wow thats some real bull****.

Been trying to watch the Japan series but I can't stay awake

Living in Asia FTW.

missed by only 2 votes. They were asking some of the voters on KJR why they voted for Kluber and they couldn't give a reason :smh:

Some voted purely on East coast bias, let's be real. Also, pulling stats out of their #%^ like WAR and defensive SABR, but ignoring ERA and the Seaver record. The clunker in Toronto was the reason Felix lost the Cy Young, it's completely obvious. Biggest game of the season, and I admit, he absolutely let us down.

Kuma got tagged with a few 2-out runs, while Cano made a bonehead play, but whatever...

Always loved the look of matte helmets...

Ugh, at least the timetable is short

An agent (not Cruz's) 5 mins ago via text: "75% chance Cruz is a Mariner."

Ownership gonna sabotage another Cruz deal or naw?

Supposedly "Nellie" wanted more than 3/$48M last offseason, which his camp ultimately denied but who would have known Cruz would mash 40 HR at 34-years-old.

Love Kuma and am thankful for all he has done but if the Red Sox dangle Cespedes, "Sayonara!"
I know he only has a year left of control but the M's CANNOT afford to waste peak years from Felix and Cano.

How does Seattle not pull off that Jason Heyward deal that the Cards just pulled off?

True, but Paxton and some bullpen arms perhaps? Heck throw them Miller or Taylor perhaps.

Gold glove, plus bat (despite a down year in '14) and possibility of re-signing a young stud. One year means something when you have peak guys. However I agree that Heyward doesn't fit every need because he's left-handed...

I actually think Heyward's bat is only average, aside from the 2012 season. His defense is definitely plus and appreciated. If STL were to compare offers, I don't believe Hart would bite at Paxton plus pieces over Shelby. Atlanta must believe McDowell can reform Miller back to 2013 regular season form, pitching behind Teheran and Medlen.
