From hearing the new GM speak, it sounds like Lloyd is about to kick rocks. I would be pretty bummed out to see him leave though. How do you go from potentially being a coach of the year candidate one year and get fired the next?

How do you go from one of the best bullpens/staffs ever to getting your teeth kicked in every game?

GM should always hire his own guy. DiPoto clashed with Scoscia, let him pick his own manager, let's do this the right way.

I get what your saying, but I'm just tired of seeing a new manager every 2 years and expecting this team to turn over a new leaf.

GM's always want "their" guy to run the show, let's just hope its for longer than two years this time.

I get it. Wedge, Wakamatsu, McLaren, we've had a bunch. But we stuck with the GM's too long and they weren't the answers. Let's give Jerry a chance with his own staff.

yeah, I mean it sucks for Lloyd...I think he's a decent manager

but if you're in DiPoto's shoes...you dont take this job to potentially deal with another headache like he did in Anaheim

Unless Lloyd concedes to alot of things Jerry will want to put in place (That was completely dismissed in Anaheim)
 
I like Lloyd too. Nice to see players like Felix having that extra competitiveness that Lloyd brought
 
I think the players like Lloyd and I think he does somethings very well, he's a competitor, he gets the boys fired up he obviously love the players and has gotten the guys to play "hard". Unfortunately, the things LMC doesn't seem to do well are more quantifiable and easy to see. Without 7 NAILS RPs he's been crap at managing his bullpen, he make some really weird choices when selecting a pinch runner and immediately replacing that runner in the field effectively burning 3 roster spots in a matter of seconds. What the actual ****. 


Ultimately, I think Jerry D will **** can LMC and bring in his own dude. It's what I'd do. 
 
Who do you think we go after in free agency assuming they put Cruz at DH and Trumbo at 1B. Will we be like the Padres this year and have a whole new outfield come next season

Gotta take advantage of Cano, Cruz & King... no messing around with player development. 
 
That's how I feel. They still have a lineup that can win. It's addressing what happened to the bullpen that they need to get corrected.
 
They better keep Kuma at this point..or least try to since Z didnt ship him away

Team need another starter? Cant depend on Paxson

Elias and Montgomery good enough for 4th and 5th?

Jason Heyward would be a dream come true.

Need a catcher, Nino needs to spend as much time in Tacoma as possible and try to salvage whatever is left of him
 
I have no problem as Elias as a back end starter, as long as he can keep his walks to a minimum. I think Montgomery caught lighting in a bottle and he probably needs to stay in Tacoma.

A catcher would be nice, but who is on the market?
