AMC's "Hell On Wheels"

Another good episode.

I know I'm not the only one that thought the swede was gonna murk that family (well, he still has time).

Won't be surprised if he does at one point. He still gives off that creepy vibe and him holding that hatchet was no bueno.

Also, what do you guys make up of all the heads and final scene?

He was just trying to give the heads back. The feather on the tree was a sign that was native territory. So he left it there and was kind of mourning that innocent women and children had to die initially because of him.

It think it goes back to what Ruth said to him when they were eating. Which was basically about being repentant. Although Bohannon never wanted those Native Americans killed, he knows that he is partially responsible due to his evolvement with the rail road.

And also, to add to what Buddha said, I don't remember who said it (might've been Eva), but someone mentioned that the worst thing you can do to a Native American was to cut their head off because they would spend all of their afterlife walking around looking for it. By putting the heads back in Native American territory, he is making the search easier for them.

I think we end up seeing Jacob next week.

 @ them almost dying like that.

Crazy ol 3 squalls.

Buffalo face :x

The way they were killing in that game.

The Swede is really going to learn all he can and then murk the father :smh: Son really think the family is just gonna accept it too.

Another good ep. I want that other brother helping Durant to get got. Cullen need to clean out the snakes in his circle.

Another excellent episode. This season has been great so far. Awesome TV.

Deep and touching moment when Elam was talking about his daughter with Cullen.

Looks like cholera came at the perfect time.. .

Is the insane, pretend preacher, running around raping little boys?

Missed last week's episode. I don't even think AMC replays the previous episode.

A Negro spiritual has never been so appropriate.

When Cullen revealed he never freed his slaves before the war  :smh: Kept it real.

At least now he'll get to see the Swede.

Great ep. Can't wait for the finale.

Season finale tonight. Completely forgot about this the last few weeks.

The Swede was on level 3000 troll mode.

That accent had me weak when I first heard it.

Great season, can't wait for season 4. :smokin

wasn't home when it aired. From the ending, will there definitely be a fourth season? Season 2 was a pseudo series finale had it been canceled.

^

They created way too many new story arcs for this to be the end of the series. Combine that with the fact that the show is doing amazing for a Saturday time slot, there should def be another season.

The last ep was way better than this "season finale" since it didn't feel like one at all. All it did throughout was set up new subplots and questions for next season. That kinda pissed me off cuz I really want to see what happens next.

From the Swede doing this psychological torture of Cullen, to Elam's fate after killing a bear :smokin , Durant getting the railroad back along with the recognition, not to mention they set up the last few eps Cullen and the Preacher's daughter having a thing for one another, and Irish bro running for mayor. The little stuff with Eva, the lesbian reporter, the kid, etc. The Swede stuff alone just has to be followed up.

When Elam ran through those natives though :smokin

I really don't think Elam is dead. No way would they do away with the Elam/Bohannon dynamic. Got a feeling that the Mormons will find him and make him work for them the same way they did the railroad workers. Then him, Bohannon, and that broad will escape.

We back! :smokin

Hell on Wheels is not only coming back for a fourth season, it’s also getting more episodes than ever before. The Western has been picked up for 13 episodes, which will premiere next summer (the first three seasons had 10 episodes each).

The move follows the show’s successful season 3 transition to what’s normally considered a programming dead zone — Saturday nights. AMC programs Western movies on Saturdays, so having an original series from the same genre seemed like a natural fit. In fact, Hell on Wheels averaged 3.3 million viewers with three days of DVR, an increase from the second season.

There’s still word, however, on the fate of AMC freshman drama Low Winter Sun.

“[Showrunner] John Wirth and his team on both sides of the camera delivered a remarkable third season and Hell On Wheels fans responded,” said Charlie Collier, AMC president. “We are so proud of this show and congratulate everyone who has contributed to its success. AMC has served passionate Western fans for three decades, so it is particularly gratifying to see these viewers capping off their Saturdays with an original Western on what has historically been a tough night of the week for television.”

Brah, you might want to put some of that in spoilers for people.

Really enjoyed this first episode. And like you said, it's as if seasons 1 and 2 were one show and that this is a completely new show.

I honestly don't understand the appeal of Mad Men.
I gave it a shot and watched the first 5 seasons. Season 5 was decent, but I just couldn't watch it anymore. Had the first 4 episodes recorded this season and when I finally sat down to watch them, I randomly decided to delete them and delete the series recording settings.

But, I say that to say that I find Hell on Wheels infinitely better than Mad Men. Better acting, better lead, and better storylines.
I don't know why, this had me laughing though..

don't watch the show at all, but

They were all on Netflix. I kept watching because of how good everyone said it was. Kinda forced myself to try and like it.
