Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 – Spring 2012 (Rafael Nadal Signature Shoe)

Nike puts forth an evolutionary follow up for Rafael Nadal’s next signature shoe model, the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3.

Here’s a CounterKicks exclusive first look at the shoes, in two colorways:

- White/Neptune Blue/Action Green/Obsidian
- White/Metallic Silver/Neutral Grey/Black

Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 sticks to a familiar setting with the same midsole/outsole tooling (Lunarlon forefoot, visible Max Air heel, internal EVA strobel board, XDR rubber outsole) as the current Air Max Courtballistec 3.3 model. The upper is where the action heats up though, as Nike has installed a Hyperfuse composite construction for Nadal this year, complete with dual-density Drag-on 2x for durability.

This year’s Courtballistec 3.3 retails for $125. With industry price hikes coming across the board, the Nike Air Max Courtballistec 4.3 is no different and will kick up an extra $5 for a $130 price point. Releases Spring 2012.

Steez- didn't know you were a tennis fan?
Loving feds new shoe, considering the last Vapors were then less than desirable. Rafa- well, I'll end buying the lock, stock, and barrel.

^^^ Fred, how was US OPEN?  you get anything cool there?

I don't love the cws of Rafas 4.3, but they look tough.  Not necessarily ground breaking but sturdy.  I am trying to resist copping the 3.3 US Open CW. Has he even worn that "taxicab" look yet?
