I will agree with JRain, Moss is the most gifted WR ever. He doesnt run as good as routes as Rice but that comes with discipline, but IN MY OPINION he hasbetter hands and waaaaaaaaaaaaay more hops. Moss is the most feared player ever...foreels. Even as a Raider when he wasnt even trying he would still havedouble/triple teams EVERY down.

damn i had no idea rice did that in 12 games. Its strange that he was able to do it in 12 in one season, but was never able to match it in a 16 game season.

I always thought Moss was a great WR. Dude has unbelievable ability; great hands, got bounce, freak speed. I'm not surprised at all he is close to tying myman Rice's record. Two knocks though:
1. Rice, like stated, did it in 12 games.
2. Moss, not already stated, is playing in an era where touching the WR will get you an automatic PI; therefore, he has more room to work with because of allthe granted separation given by the refs.
Also, I like Ska's argument.

how are you gonna even compare those 2 situations? the Raiders were actually a playoff team when Rice was there. that's a bogus argument.
it really doesn't matter what Moss does, he'll never be accepted the way Rice was. he came into the league with "baggage" and that's whatpeople will always stick him for. even if he breaks all of Rice's records, he'll never be embraced by fans like Jerry was. Moss represents the younger"loud" generation, and it rubs a lot of people the wrong way.
Rice played for the 49ers, and they weren't nearly as much of a team that people loved to hate, like the Cowboys of the 90's were or the Patriots arenow. Rice has a lot "cleaner" of an image than Randy ever will. Brady helps Moss in that aspect, having a golden boy throwing the ball to him, butRice had 2 of them.
Moss is my personal favorite player, so i'm biased, but he's the most talented WR to ever play the game. Rice has the longevity and records on him atthis point, as well as his overall character and sportsmanship, but based on pure talent and ability, i'll go with Moss 10 times out of 10.

I was born in Boston and have been a Patriots fan my entire life.
But there is NO WAY you can tell me Moss is better than Jerry Rice. Besides the fact that his work ethic is INSANE, he has many more records besides singleseason touchdowns. And is anyone forgetting that he played alongside a guy named Terrel Owens? Rice is the greatest receiver of all time. Hands down.
