Does anyone know what type of paint I can use to paint the midsole of the AM1's? And do I have to use a type of sealer coat at the end to prevent cracking?

That's my problem, i wanted to know that too. painted them with an acrylic paint, lets see how it goes

Is that Angelus leather paint glossy? I don't really know about paints lol. Im trying to paint just the top line of the midsole with a black color. Similar to the Retro 3 OG 88's. I ID'ed a pair of AM1 with elephant print and wanted to make them look close as possible to the OG 88's.

That's something someone else would be able to help you out with, but I know there are a ton of tutorials on YouTube. Sounds like a fun project. Let's me know how it goes.

I'm no expert myself but I do know that angelus is the way to go and yes sometimes it is a little glossy so depending on the matte of the shoe you'll need to add a duller to get that perfect color. It takes some practice but like joelom said there's a ton of tutorials out there. Take a beater pair and practice up mixing those colors and getting your brush strokes down. Good luck

I checked out the Angelus page and it has details on everything. All I need is black acrylic leather paint and acrylic finisher to protect the paint. Now the hard part is waiting. Nike ID will be done with my shoes till March -__- lol

On the hunt for my holy grails... atmos air max 1 (2007) in an 8 or 8.5. Wish me luck guys, I don't expect to find em under 500 lol. Also looking for the tiger atmos air max 1... we'll see how that goes. 375 is the best price i've seen

NDC had a place holder for them but took em down. I talked with a Nike Rep and these were supposed to release in Nov/Dec. The JD Sports version looks different from the Essential 1's Chilling Red/Bone.
I appreciate your sarcasm but really am looking for some info on a U.S. release. Only Air Max 1 I'm really interested in.

the JD sports version is exactly the same version as on NDC
the so called chilling red cw that you mentioned was also available for a short time on NDC EU
i know people that got them from there and they are exactly the same as the JD sports release
your only chance to get them is to buy them from JD sports, and if you wait longer they will sell out
then you will be screwed, if i were you i would scoop them up from JD if they will get discounted
