I bought these like this. Except for that part they are in mint condition. I guess it's because of the age as these are the USA's.

i think that the damage is caused by the paper that comes with the shoe

the paper contains acid, what sometimes also cause yellowing on the midsole and the mesh at the toebox

also i dont think you can fix the damage at the mudguard, if i were you i would sell them on ebay or FB

Just got my pair of Chilling Reds in from JD Sports, satisfied. Will have to work on the toe a lil bit.

I keep the paper in all of my older shoes including air max's and have never had anything like that happen. I can see maybe it causing some slight discoloration but haven't noticed any of that either in my shoes. First time I have heard about this paper thing.

that paper is straight up garbage, since i knew that it would turn your shoes yellow

i would fold the paper a couple of times place it on the bottom of the box and put my sneakers in a open ziplock bag

I was always under the impression that sticking them in a ziploc would dry them out even when open?? I know that you are pretty well informed so I'm not shooting down what you are saying. Just trying to clear things up for myself! I'm always  down to learn better sneaker care.

to prevent your shoes from drying out i let the bag open instead of closed so that the shoe can breath

also i hear that some peeps use an plant sprayer once a while to spray the outside of the midsoles with water

and also they take out the insole from the shoe to spray water on the top of the midsole

so that water get absorbes into the midsole and that the midsole wont crack and last longer

i have have never tried this technique before but in the near fear future i will gonna give it a try

I just wear all my shoes, so they get that natural moisture. Then I put them back in their respective plastic containers. Shoe trees help retain form btw.

thats a whole size down though. i think women's and mens am1s fit tts, but i could be mistaken. my gf gets her am1s tts if that helps. are you a 10 or 10.5?

im usually a 9.5-10 in the nylon/cotton toebox am1s and 10-10.5 in the stiffer am1s for the most part, but i think it depends on shoe. I know it sounds weird but I can fit 9.5 in OGs and essentials but im thinking these will be stiffer so i doubt theyll stretch much for me to break them in so u r prob right, ill just pass. I'll let someone with a true 9.5 foot scoop em up.

If you have the loot and are willing to spend $390 why not just pony up the $400? That seems to be the going rate from what I have seen, $400-$450.

Haha I guess it's just the mentality of seeing that hundredth digit changing. Oh and finding a size 8(semi snug squeeze) for 390 or 8.5 (good fit) for 400. In reality it doesn't make a big difference lol. So 400 is a decent price aye?
