Personally speaking, that shape is absolutely terrible. That toe box is ughhhh

Just got mine. Toe box is a horrible,especially looking at it from viewpoint front-side,man it's nasty. But it'd still a great shoe. I look past it. Lol

Yeah the toe box shape on these are pretty bad, looking like a 90º cliff. First thing I did when I got my pair was give the toe box that iron treatment. Set my iron to just under a medium setting, layed a damp thin piece of cloth over the toe, and got to reshaping.
I could reshape some more to get a more sleek toe box, but I am pleased at where I stopped and they definitely look better than before.

Thats why mine just got sent back today! I haven't bought an air max 1 since 2011 and I couldn't stand the look of the toe box I had to get my money back

I bought them a month or so ago and I love 'em. I bought them in a wmns 10.5 and I wear a men's 9 and they fit pretty much perfect.

Looking to cop the Gym Red Essentials but RU only has 10.5 or 11.5 and Im an 11, wide foot too. Should I go up or down .5?

I also have a wide foot but went TTS and they show no mercy on your pinky toe, I'd go up .5 if I were gonna buy another pair.

Thanks man. I got some Premiums in the other day in 11 and they hurt my pinky as well. Hopefully it goes away as I break them in.

lunar soled AM1s fit like 1/4 size bigger than regular AM1s in the same size. Enough for me to size down .5, but i can't say for you.
