Been following this thread for a while now, and considering you guys seem true pros, I'd like some help on a topic.

Some weeks ago, I've bought the AM1 Mercurial Violet pair. They arrived while I was on vacation, so I couldn't check them beforehand. Now that I've opened the box, I've noticed that the left shoe in the pictures has a pretty big discoloring orange mudguard overall compared to the other one.

My question is: does anyone know a way to brighten up the color on the left mudguard? I really like the pair, and considering I can't send them back (due to timing), I'd like to fix it.

The pictures don't show the discoloring that well, but irl it's pretty bad.

There is no way, that i know of that can brighten suede apart from buying a suede dye and painting over. Initial thought would be to use small amounts of water to darken the suede of the brighter pair to try and match the two, but honestly from those pictures the differences are very marginal and no one is going to notice. No. one.
 
anyone make any AM ! Lunar ID's yet? i wanna make some Un-USA's and another pair i have saved

After looking at those pictures it's not just the orange mudguard that is off.  The synthetic material around the laces is also a different color

Unfortunately that seems like a temporary fix. And as stated, the orange looks worse in real life then on the pictures.

Yeah, after having a close look, I'm noticing that too. Seems like one of the shoes saw a lot of sun before getting sold or something. The purple however isn't that bad, it's mostly the orange that bothers me.
 
I have a pair of Air Max 1 x Atmos "Safari", whose sole is completely destroyed due to age and use.

That makes a lot of sense. Maybe you can leave the other shoe in the sun for a week to even it out.
 
I've been on the fence in getting the Air Max Lunar 1 all summer. Would appreciate if someone could break them down for me in terms of comfort, materials, technology, and whatever else is relevant. I contacted Size, and they offered a gift card for the damage. But now I noticed the Mercurials are back in stock in my size, so I'll try to exchange them for another pair.
