It's better than my previous nike ID purchase. I really like it, the texture is also good. I don't recommend you use leather on the toebox however.
 
Just wanted to give the final update to my most recent re-shape of these AM1 Essentials I copped for $37 a few pages back. As we all know the shape today is horrible, but, with a little time and effort, we can help it. As you can see, they're much improved. Don't mind those beasts in the background

In my personal opinion, these will go down as one of the best from this era. Enjoy.

Not at all bro. Used heat number 2 on the iron, kept the rag pretty damp, and repeated for about 30 min on and off. I'm really happy with the results. It makes me want to buy cheap AM1s now and fix them up.

I wouldn't see why not; As a big part of the New Balance community, I know they use it quite often, as well as actually opening up the toe box, and taking out the 'toe puff'.

I am a rookie, there are tons of dudes doing this that can direct you accordingly, but, for my first time, I feel pleased.

interesting you say that. ive been debating on trying the iron method on some of my asian made NBs.
