that Shoeniqua chick got plenty of money from her rich daddy and she owns 3-4 for pairs of AMS am1

so it doesnt bother her anyway to swap the midsole from one of her beat up pairs

People are already buying a **** shape. But some, like the modern am shape (nobody here i guess and hope).

For me its less the look of the new shape but the feel of the shoe and the fit. These new AM1's feel cramped in the toe but wide in the heel because of the new shape which doesn't feel good when I'm wearing them out. Honestly I don't think I have worn a single Air Max 1 essential from 08 and later more than a handful of times with the exception of the bright mangos, they just don't feel pleasant when im out for more than a few hours. I think I will just end up selling them at some point because their only collecting dust at this point. The Ultras on the other hand do get a good bit of wear, I know most of the Vets here prefer the old look and simple materials but I really don't expect to be seeing anymore glory days from the true AM1's since Nike seems a lot more interested in retro runners these days.

once they arrived and i had in hand, no regrets...  

very happy i made the purchase.  dots still on the bottom, pleasantly surprised about the toebox material, and overall excellent condition for a 2004.
 
That black around the swoosh on those 87's is clean.

My sole donor finally arrives Wednesday. The sole swap will be done this weekend.
