The Official Anime & Manga Thread Vol: 三

So I'm watching the original Naruto right now and I noticed that Hinata had a prodigy little sister. Whatever happened to her?

Kishi went full DBZ, thats what happened. Only thing thats important now are power levels

He lost most of everything that made naruto part 1 so fantastic

Does anyone know of any good action anime's to watch, sidenote: I tried getting into jo jo's bizarre adventure by watching the fight between dio vs vampire which was wierd and then watched jotaro vs dio which was even more wierd can't see why this is popular imho
Sounds like you watched the OVA's that came out in the 90's. Those were strange and I dont really recommend those.
You got to start with the New Jojo's (start with the 2012 series) and work your way up to Stardust crusaders (part 3 that's currently airing). If Battle Tendency (part 2) doesn't hook you, then the series probably isn't for you. Just remember, this series may be full of machismo at times, and the characters may come off as pretty flamboyant, but damn the big fights are great and some of the characters do end up growing on you. :pimp:
Just in case, you can always go check out Attack On Titan (if you haven't) or one of my personal favorites, Jormungand. :pimp:

Speaking of Jojo, this week's episode, oh boy.
Dem Stardust Crusaders are ruthless. Peeing down a man's throat to punish him before they light him on fire.
Also, I'd like to point out, how in the hell do you have two chunks of flesh ripped from your shoulders, and then in the previews for the next episode you are just fine with no visible scars? That **** gets me everytime.

You watching Aldnoah Zero?

My take on it was that Dandy came to visit her since that ski lift thing can take them safely out of the nebula (like it did in the episode), I'm guessing that it can bring them safely in( like it was doing in the end). In terms of her memories and feelings, if she is powerful enough to send dandy to another universe for his survival, i'm guessing she's omnipotent enough to retain her memories from other universes.
This is why I love Space Dandy. Under all the humor, there's some deep stuff happening. :pimp:

I forgot that the lift does in fact go that far :wow:

Your theory is far better put together than mine  But I too was thinking that she just might be above the rules in that regard. The fact that at one point she looked at Dandy and saw multiple of him only supports that.

I love that about it too. You can tell that Shinichiro wanted to go people to initially not realize the amount of depth to be found here and dismiss it as being random.

Nope, it has too much of a gundam series feel to me and in gundam those battles have a little bit more flare and finesse to them

A quick summary without spoiling anything would be it about an arms dealer (and her squad of highly trained mercenaries) that goes around the world, selling weapons and getting into trouble. And of course, hidden agendas and ulterior motives everywhere, especially for Koko (the arms dealer).

GitS is defined as action/crime on imdb.com, so I'm going off of that.

Monster trailer: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi446891289/
Death Note

Psycho Pass

Darker Than Black

It's from the special after the credits. I'm watching a low quality raw of it now. I'll watch again later when it gets subtitled, probably late tonight or early tomorrow since funimation is streaming at midnight and crunchyroll at 2 am.
Wish it went more into Luffy's training. Barely touched on it. Would have liked to see everyone else's training get highlighted as well. It's obviously at the point where Luffy isn't far in his training, but dude has been getting worked this entire special. Was also hoping to see anything about Akainu vs Aokiji, but when the special starts Akainu is already fleet admiral.
In the last fight Luffy finally finds his will and it boosts his haki, but still Burndy's haki control was nice like vergo's. Dude was doing fullbody haki like nothing, and adding it to projectiles.  All luffy's jet gatlings looked as good as the ones on Enies lobby, so that's a plus. Finished Brundy off with red hawk. Was hoping for G4 instead.

Hancock's fight was weak, cause Toei wanted to turn it into a fan service fight. Then she one-shotted Buggy's opponent. They shoulda let her be great.

Made Mihawk look like a true government dog, by saving a fleet of marines from a MASSIVE cannonball with one slash. First time I ever saw him actually move quick and take initiative. Could have let Akainu handle it tho since he was there raining down magma meteors at the end. Also got it looking like Mihawk and Perona are best friends now

Since idk Japanese I can't tell you any real details that would be found out from the conversations, but what set Brundy World off was one of the Cipher Pols tricked most of his crew into betraying him. They used that instead of letting Garp handle him like he was about to.

Gave Buggy the credit for defeating Brundy at the end.

Gonna have to watch again with subs to figure out the details of what's going on, but story quality wise its on the level of a decent filler arc.

These Japanese commercials are pretty entertaining tho.
Also I see the HxH manga hiatus just got extended, and while I was watching the 3D2Y special I saw a commercial for the new Dragonquest releasing in Japan. Now it makes perfect sense. Togashi loves Dragonquest too much to work.

I started it a while back. I definitely have to finish it
I can understand that. I did the same thing with Season 2 of Code Grass. Except I'm probably never going to finish it. Neither are you

Code Geass is great.

I've seen it 4 times.

The show has suspense, great main character, awesome premise, mecha,

This show is similar to Death Note.

The soundtrack is as good of FMAB.

Also the feels, the feels...

If these openings don't do anything for you, give it 5 episodes.

If you're still meh about it, drop it.

I finished all of Psycho Pass these past 2 days on netflix. Really liked it. Had some stuff I never seen before in anime (haven't watched a lot of series). They referenced real literature and there was a strong philosophical theme. Questioning what would be better for their society and compromising what you feel is right. Also first time seeing people murdered in an anime that weren't caused by an energy beam or something supernatural / magical.

Looked on wiki and saw a second series is supposed to release in October and a follow up movie next year.
