The Official Anime & Manga Thread Vol: 三

I understand a recently released chapter discussion being put into spoilers because not everyone has had the time that day (or even week) to go read it. But if you're discussing something 30 chapters back I don't see a reason to. If it affects the anime viewers experience, then there needs to separate threads just like there is a Game of Thrones TV thread and a Song of Ice And Fire book thread.

I haven't read one piece or watched the anime, but I plan to. Is it reasonable that every post should now be put into spoilers until I'm ready to watch and/or read the series? Because I'm still going to come in here to discuss other series, but I don't want to have this one ruined before I read it.

I can't really speak of how reasonable that is since that's subjective, but I'm so for making the thread accessible to everyone that I would absolutely be spoilering specific One Piece plot points regardless of how old they are.

I just see throwing spoiler tags in as being so simple and effective that it's practically a non-issue. It's not inconveniencing in any significant way, and it clearly helps members not be spoiled of things, so why not?

New AoT and Magi out.

Glad the flashback is finally done in Magi. Want to see what is going to happen now that they all know the truth about Aladdin.

Hmm, I understand, but let me offer one last counter argument:

You know, I was actually gonna post this up instead, but I thought that the ostrich would have been funnier.
I can see it now, this whole war was actually his doing because his business has been in a slump ever since pain nuked the village. So he instigated the war from behind the scenes in order for people to fight, get hungry from all the fighting, and come and eat his ramen once the fighting is done. Genius.

All this talk about Ichiraku ramen just reminded me, I got another semi interesting, but now irrelevant piece of Naruto trivia for you guys.

You know how I mentioned earlier that Naruto was added in later as the underdog protagonist? Originally, the series was not gonna be about his exploits but about the different types of Ramen that Naruto was gonna eat, since Naruto is both his name and it's short for Narutomaki, a typical Japanese ramen ingredient (the white thing with the red/pink spiral in it). The missions were gonna be summaries of what we've actually seen and the chapters were supposed to concentrate on the ramen, ingredients, the broth, flavor, etc...
This series could have been something completely different than what we've gotten, so we should at least be glad that it is what it is.

You just reminded me that I'm a cool 20-30 chapters behind in Shingeki no Soma.

I'm kind of hungry though, so this might not be the time to catch up

If people were wondering how Sasuke had the chakra to do that one crazy thing he did at the end of the latest chapter...found this on Reddit

Kishi was really setting up Sasuke to do his thing because otherwise Naruto would wash him in the chakra department

Naruto still trumps him in the chakra department regardless. (Keep in mind, Naruto's literally spread his chakra around to hundreds of people over this fight, while at the same time using massive amounts of chakra himself to combat Madara, Tobi, and the Juubi. Neither Sasuke, or anyone else, has ever expended that much chakra at one time.) I'd say he's still got more stamina too, when you consider that Naruto's been fighting nonstop for over a day, while Sasuke just recently arrived to the fight in the grand scheme of things, and it was near the end of it anyways.

Though yes, I do think it's clear Kishi's been setting this up, as he and Naruto have been butting heads since they reunited, with each having different methods, Sasuke using more excessive force, talking down to Sakura and the others, etc.

new AoT chapter was pretty good. I'm curious to see how this arc wraps up now.

Also, just saw the new Terror in Resonance episode. Five, what a scumbag. :smh:

So uh, no Jojo this week? :nerd:

Edit:
Man Jojo came out late this week.
Polnaref and Kakyoin are damn fools for that hand sign business in the beginning of the episode. That came out of nowhere.
Also, did the intro get an upgrade or something? It seems different... :nerd:
Edit #2 (just finished ep):
Aww hell nah, they cant do this to me! :frown:
Gotta wait till January for the Egypt arc to start. Dammit... :smh:
At least we got a glimpse of my boy Iggy under that blanket. :pimp:
maybe this wait might be a blessing in disguise, hopefully we might get Holy Diver as the ED for the second part now... :nerd:
Now that part 1 is over, one question has been plaguing my mind. Exactly how much money has Joseph spent so far on this crusade? It has to easily be in the millions. he's gotten planes, boats, cars, and a damn submarine.

Now the long wait begins... :frown:
