The Official Anime & Manga Thread Vol: 三

Ok so now Akame ga kill is just finding stupid ways to kill people.... Seriously? A bed a spears just waiting for him in that exact spot huh

Yeah, that was dumb to me as well.

I'm not getting why he couldn't have used his Imperial Arm to avoid death either, like couldn't he retract all of the expended string and cushion his fall or something?

One way or another, I'm looking forward to seeing what happened in the manga now.
he had used all of the thread covering the battlefield. this is going to be like another Fullnetal alchemist situation. since this is a monthly manga instead of weekly, the show pretty much caught up to the book and they probably will diverge. The anime only has like 3 episodes left and it seems to be one of those 1 season shows. so most likely they will wrap it up somehow that will not be how the manga ends

I thought that might've been the case, but in all time he spent falling, he couldn't retract enough to cover his back? I mean, I guess it doesn't matter now

I'm definitely interested in seeing what they decide to do with the last 4 episodes since they're not staying true to the source material anymore.

if it's popular enough sure. HunterXHunter just had its second anime finish without a conclusion. so there will inevitably be another HunterXHunter series

This is actually the first thought that crossed my mind too

If this was a few years ago I probably would've been excited about that new DBZ flick, but I really don't even care anymore. I'll watch it, but I wouldn't be disappointed if it was revealed to be a hoax or something.

I was just wondering. has there ever been a lengthy Miyazaki/ghibli discussion in this thread before? I can't remember

They reached the Grand Line when they met Laboon, before the Alabasta arc. theyll be hitting the 2nd half of the Grand Line (The New World) after the Fishman Island Arc.

TBH if youre already at the Fishman Island arc and youre still not feeling it I would drop it at this point

Already gave up on Bleach many months back.

Wild's is kinda getting "meh" now for me :smh: it's the same thing over and over with the enemies being really stupid and can't take a hint that those girls are clearly stronger than them and throwing more guys at them doesn't work
also Dal-dal X Jaegu :smokin

By fishmen part do you mean arlong park or fishman island? If you're just at arlong park finish that arc and if your not feeling it after that drop it, but he hits the grandline in chapter 100 of the manga I believe so a little after arlong park finishes. Arlong park tends to be where a lot of people get hooked if they weren't early on

Wilds got meh to me a while back. Jaegu hasn't progressed much as a character especially since early on, and he has plenty of room for development. The conflicts aren't that interesting. This current conflict is probably the most interesting one in a while, but it's the same arc formula, except Jaegu will probably be forced to fight, unless Dal-dal shows up before it's his time.

Fairy Tail has been pretty solid the past few weeks... not feeling how the chap ended today but still pretty decent chaps. They're stepping up. Story wise and action wise.

Only problem with FT is that they build stuff up so much and bs so much in fights. then it seems like its over in 4 panels.

I had the opposite feeling the past few weeks about FT. Since either Erza went blind or Igneel came out of Natsu's stomach, whichever came first, its been going downhill in typical FT fashion. These fights are so weak man, they spout some nonsense about friendship being the only thing that matters and then they beat whoever they're fighting even if they were outclassed before. What was the point of Jenma or whatever his name was being brought back just to lose so quickly? FT arcs fall apart quickly, it just happened later than usual with this one.
