The Official Anime & Manga Thread Vol: 三

One Piece
Pretty nice transition chapter just to get back into the fights. Some might think of it as a waste of space, but from a storytelling standpoint it's probably necessary.
Dellinger is a half fighting fish merman, interesting. They still didn't explain Machvise's tail.

Bartolomeo is sending Robin ahead, I swear with all these officers running around and she still doesn't get a real 1 on 1 fight I'm gonna be disappointed. They already nerfed her when she joined the crew, and now Oda trying to regulate her to fodder control instead of using her full potential. Hopefully Oda comes through with a 1 on 1 for her, but it's looking less likely since it looks like she's going to babysit useless *** Rebecca. Rebecca should have stayed with Riku and Viola.

Law got a hit in on Doffy by antagonizing him until he made a mistake, but Law's gotta go down soon or Trebol is gonna have to get back into the fight if Luffy is gonna do anything this arc. Hopefully next week focuses on individual fights instead of the quick highlights.

That was a pretty Wack chapter IMO.
I wanted to see how law started working for Doflamingo and WHY are they repeating everyone's name again that was a waste :smh:
The dellinger thing was interesting I guess

yo ichibei whooped *** in bleach

didnt know yoriuchi had a sister either

nice to see most of the vizards are still alive, but what did hiyori mean by it all being for the gotei?

They showed how Law started working for Doflamingo. That was at the beginning of the flashback. He came to Doflamingo in order to get revenge against the world for what happened at Flevance. It was mentioned at the beginning of the arc he left Doflamingo's crew 13 years ago, which is the exact end of the flashback when Cora dies. Doffy originally wanted to raise Law to be his right hand man, then when Law got the Ope Ope no mi he wanted to get Law to die for him by giving him immortality. The only reason he didn't kill Law in the previous fights was he was hoping he could still force Law into that and because he still saw Law as a child just rebelling against him.
As for why they did the recap, that's because it's been awhile since the flashback so they have to reset the scene. The younger audience, which is the main audience of Jump has been having a hard time keeping up with what's been going on in the arc, so they're trying to make things clearer.

Chapter was just decent. We got Cavendish about to fall asleep and Hakuba about to come out, we got Doffy getting hit, info on Dellinger, so we got some small things. I am tired of the way Luffy is being portrayed tho just to buy time. That's frustrating. Also, how Robin is handled is frustrating.

Ahhh I thought that law stayed in the crew longer so I was thinking that he stayed with the crew after Cora died and was plotting on doffy the whole time. But ohhhh ok I get you. That makes more sense

Yeah I think a lot of people thought that cause an early chapter mistranslated a comment Doflamingo made to Law. He said he hadn't seen him in over 10 years, but it got translated to 10 years exactly, so people thought he stayed with him until he was 16 rather than 13.
Hopefully next week we get full 1 on 1 fights and hopefully Oda figures out what to have Robin do.

Bleach
Good chapter. Yhwach is literally getting brushed aside. :pimp:

One Piece
Back to the fighting now. :pimp:
Delinger is half merman? I wonder who his parents are...

What's good with magi?

I'm literally on netflix skimming through old shows for fight scenes. Looking for some new **** as well

This might be my favorite OP this season. :pimp:

If anyone knows where to find the full song, let me know.

I wish someone would scanlate the last 2 volumes of Golden Boy so I can finish reading the series. The scans ended right in the middle of his backstory. Also, I'm hoping some scalation team picks up this series called Smoking Gun, it sounded interesting, it's a series about a donut loving forensic scientist.

Yet another crazy episode of Kiseijuu :pimp:

I walked into this with no expectations but damn am I glad I started watching.

**** suddenly got real in 1815Inou-Battle wa Nichijou-kei no Naka de (thank goodness for copy/paste ) this week. I'm guessing that it's only 12 episodes so they had to go ahead and actually advance the plot somehow. I'm not mad at that decision one bit.

This surprised me too. The plot came out of nowhere.

I'm saying

Then just when they had me thinking it was resolved, it got even MORE real. I'm interested in seeing where it goes from here, because things could get very predictable and I'd hate to see that happen.

I took me a year to read 500 OP chapters.

I'm trying to knock out the 70+ Naruto chapters I have left.

Then back to OP.

Breh. Oda has been dropping clues for years.

****** was out there shook :pimp:

Dragon is a major player but he keeps his operations on the DL hence why nobody knows anything about him, but to be constantly called the "most dangerous man in the world"? Garp's son? Luffy's father? Sabo's fighting mentor?

Breh.

Dragon gone knock some heads son :pimp:

i'm going to cosign this. dragon look like the type of dude who can drop any character with that stank eye haki....without oda drawing him in the manga nyumsayin?

sabo has to be on par with yonkous...dude is #2 to dragon and probably trained by him. thats almost better than what luffy had from the dark king.

going down the list...aside form the yonkous, i can see a few admirals being a problem. luffy is admiral level tho at best.

honestly, mugiwaras not there yet. yonkous would body luffy and his crew easy imo. luffy's strongest attacks are red hawk (which sabo can do just by farting) or gatling gun with armament haki activated. shanks got one arm n **** and id bet MAD BERRI that luffy can't see shanks with hands...i mean hand. red hair would haki luffy's crew and smack luffy around like

GIMME MY HAT BACK

all while wearin those gucci slippers.

its also still not clear how strong zoro and sanji are. and are they about that haki life. :nerd: :nerd:

also giving robin benefit of the doubt because she trained with the revolutionary army and rolled with sabo and dragon prolly. unclear yet. everyone else kind of meh >D

just because u unlocked an iphone, doesn't make u an app developer. luffy has a long way to go. but my opinion may change depending on this flamingo fight.
