One Piece
Interesting info learned in the SBS for the next volume: Monet and Sugar are sisters and got their devil fruits from Doffy. He saved them from a bad environment and they chose to follow him. Sugar was 9 and Monet was 17 at the time.
As for the chapter. The bit with Luffy and Doffy was really well done. I also like the flashback sprinkled in to show more of Doffy's progression and relationship to the seats. He was always evil, but the seats molded him to harness the evil and madness.

Seems like all the translations got the part where Doffy goes to Marijois wrong since Doffy's father was already dead when he went back.

Seems Law is surprised Luffy has king's haki. I'm glad Law finally remembered his own crew and decided to live. Although it's getting silly how they keep acting like he's completely out of commission. Since he defeated Trebol, who seems to be a complete idiot, maybe now he'll stay down and quiet the rest of the fight so we can see Luffy fight Doffy.

Trebol has the same "death rattle" as the Tontatta for some reason and apparently all the ones in the factory sensed his defeat and feel better after what he did to them during the SOP plan.

Also Trebol wasn't a logia, but a really thin paramecia who used a mucus coat to appear bigger and hide his body? Alright. His head is also too big for his body.

Another "Is Law going to be okay cliffhanger?" I mean in volume format it doesn't matter much since you can go straight to the next chapter, but in weekly format it's tiring.

aizen u say? let me go check i forgot it came out today. Aizen coming back with the blue supersaiyan hair making everyone else look like a bunch of yamchas and tiens

I'm confused about Haki again, can someone explain the 3 types?? I thought we already knew he had it.

Kenbunshoku Haki allows the user to sense another person's aura/precense, also allowing the user to predict that person's movements/attacks. Taking the sensory ability further a trained user can also sense a person's emotions and how strong or weak they are.

Busoshoku Haki allows the user to create an invisible forcefield around himself, enabling the user to defend himself from attacks that might've hurt him otherwise, and the ability to touch and harm Devil Fruit users, even Logia's. Similar to the first form, there is another ability that can be attained through training, which is the armor physically altering the user's body, or hardening it, where the entire body or just a single part appears to be covered in a black metal.

Haoshoku Haki, the rarest form or King's Haki, allows the user to intimidate/dominate others by knocking them out. (Like two will's clashing, and the stronger overcomes the weaker) This is the ONLY form of Haki that a person can't gain through training, but must be born with.

If you're talking about Luffy then yeah we've known for a while that he had the final type, but I can't remember whether or not Law was ever around when he used it.

1. is that Violets Haki?

2. Arnament Haki?

3. when Luffy gave that look to the animals to control them?

1. Was it confirmed that she had Haki? If so, i've missed that.

2. Yes

3. Yes, similar to Shanks using Haki way back at the start of the series on that Sea King.

Violet uses her devil fruit power to see around the island. She can also make attacks based off her eyes. I don't think Viola has haki, but Rebecca has observation haki I believe. Kyros taught it to her as a kid so she could develop her fighting style.

Armament haki comes in 2 forms now from what we've seen, an invisible type and the blackened type that they call hardening. The way Rayleigh explained it was that you essentially create a shield and use the shield to attack. It strengthens and defends, and it lets you bypass devil fruits to hit the real body. People also tend to have an affinity toward one type of haki.

Luffy 1st used haki unconsciously against Motoboro, Duval's bull, then again against the wolves in Impel down, then finally at Marineford. That's when we learned exactly what it was, because the admirals announced he had it and started taking him seriously and that's when Whitebeard decided to bet on him. 1 in a million people get king's haki, but the new world has a higher concentration of them because that's where those who can use it gather. Like Jays25 mentioned, it's the only haki you can't get through training, but you can increase control over it, and the stronger the strength gap between people the more effective it is. We've also seen it affect nonliving objects like when Shanks used it to put cracks in whitebeard's ship. Their clash split the sky as well. Right now the only confirmed CoC users we've seen are Luffy, Shanks, Doffy, Whitebeard, Ace, Chinjoa, Boa Hancock, and Rayleigh.

http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Haki Here's the wiki page if you need more info.

Haki is trash and should never been included. Oda only uses it when it's convenient for plot, you got Luffy not using with his attacks on multiple occasions when he should have, and high tier sensory haki users like Doflamingo and Luffy getting sneaked by weaklings when sensing Haki basically allows you to predict the future.

Mantra should have been exclusive to Skypeia and Armament Haki should only even the playing field against Logias and people like Luffy. Conquering Haki is cool against weaklings.

That said this week's One Piece was fantastic, i almost forgot about how trash Dressrossa was until Oda HAD to throw a dwarf scene in there :smh:

i dont like this fairy tale needs to get put back together (again) steez. gray goes sasuke out of NOWHERE with the only explanation being that it must be from when he fought mard geer. those curse marks (again... sasuke) have turned him evil! smh fairy tale shouldve stopped when they won.

Man, reading all these special powers in OP got me amped when I finally get there.  Those gifs up there making Luffy so bad a**.

I'm only up to the Thriller Bark arc, which IMO is kind of weak.  I watch maybe one episode a day, I'm just longing for the actual fights start.  It seems to me like one huge filler, it has its perks but the cons are there.  Don't like the story with the shadows to much, seems pretty weak.

Yeah, I know sooner or later something epic will happen but it's really such a drag getting there.  Like so many pointless inner stories.

How many more arcs do I need to go when Luffy starts developing those insane powers?  I know he's trained by the second commander of Rogers crew or something like that.

Ah you're watching the anime. The pace has slowed then. Thriller bark is meant to be a comedy arc in between heavy arcs. About halfway the arc shifts gears. People either really like or dislike Thriller Bark depending on if they like the comedy. The arc after Thriller bark is my favorite. You could just read Thriller bark to get through it faster.
