i think it's pretty straightforward. Imagine if Game of Thrones only took place in Kings landing. While it would be a good story, the world as a whole is ripe for story telling.

Naruto also falls into this by solely focusing on Konoha. Granted that's kind of the standard way a lot of these are written but imo it feels like a waste. Which is why I prefer that if your going to create a world, don't limit it.

I don't get the comparison to GOT. GOT is more about multiple casts of characters from different regions whereas fmab is about 1 cast of characters from different regions. They did a good job explaining most of the places.

I'm going strictly off the anime.

Fmab is dope but AOT is a game changer...people who don't even like anime are messing with AOT heavy...I agree the manga is meh cuz we gotta wait a month for each chapter and it's confusing af but the anime is top notch. And I'm not one to live dark animes like that

Game changer in what way? AOT is really popular. That's what it mainly has going for it, which is great. Because I hear people who aren't even into anime like that talk about it. FMA is what got me INTO anime. If AOT is what gets other people INTO anime, I agree that it's a game changer in that specific way. Making people look at anime more seriously.

After about that 5th,6th episode I was just like. ok well this is just a reg anime to me now. That inital wow factor I got was gone. Wasn't surprised anymore. and quite bored with the characters. Mikasa was cool but didnt get a lot of talking shine (which is her character I know) Eren is a borin gmain character. his side kick was cool

FMAB kept me on my toes. Never knew what to really expect. All the characters were very colorful in their on regards no one particularly out shined any one else. it isn't like Naruto or Fairy Tail where Naruto or Natsu just come out and start one shotting everyone.

it's more the OP esque where we know Luffy is powerful, but we don't know how close zoro or sanji are to him, they could be equals are very very close. but everyone gets that shine





Fairy Tail btw, WTF..... just straight up getting tired of what's going on this arc , the real enemy better be a beast or may as well get straight to zeref at this point

All Mikasa says is Eren. She's like a cooler version of Sakura. FMAB had cliffhangers for days!

AOT is harder to follow. We can theorize what is happening, then some BS happened. Then you're just like,...well ok then.

 
that animation outside of a movie is rare bruh. this is big budget looking animation. they really went for it. sound is amazing. story is great and definitely not what ur used to. the protagonist spends the entire first season getting his a** whooped. that ALONE is way left of anything people are used to seeing. hell, we're like 20 entries into the manga and the protagonist STILL has nothing but L's. Like they said, this anime/manga conveys a hopelessness better than anything I've ever seen. You keep rooting for them to win, and even when they get small victories...it gets eradicated. 

Now, i will give u that the manga is very confusing at times. But clearly in the anime itll be better displayed so you understand. There wont be questions of "when are we right now?" in the anime. They just do things different. Like

How they revealed who the colossal titan was. Dude said it nonchalant like it was some everyday regular s***. They weren't even focused on him when he said it. GOLD bruh

Nobody is doing little things like that. the show is excellent. and yes...it has put a good bit of my friends who aren't into anime... onto anime. Including my wife now being intrigued.

I see your point in regards to hopelessness. The whole "Humanity vs. Enemies of Humanity" is very entertaining.

HUH?!?!?! In what UNIVERSE is Attack on Titan better than Full Metal Brotherhood and HUNTER X HUNTER?! I'm legitimately confused. Was that a joke? HxH is damn near one of the best series of all time, how is AoT *which is a series I love dearly* even mentioned in that category?

Attack on Titan has a solid plot, but definitely nothing game changing and nothing new. FMAB and HxH go so much more in depth with hashing out character development and plot.

I'm honestly so confused right now.

HxH chimera ant arc is > anything in AoT including the manga. If you're going strictly anime vs anime AoT has no contest against either of those series. It's just a new exciting series. Honestly I probably think Parasyte was a better anime than AoT. After the first couple episodes AoT lost it's wow factor. Again, I'm not saying it's not a solid series. And if you read the manga then I don't see how you could be super excited about future AoT seasons.

It's a  good series but better than HXH? Man....

And yeah it's subjective but that claim in my mind is like saying American Horror Story is better than True Detective. Both are shows I actually really enjoy but clearly one is better and it's no contest.

To the homie looking to get into AOT..
Read the manga instead of watching the anime. It starts out really, really slow but picks up right around chapter 50...
You will have time to catch up since chapters drop once a month(which sucks because sometimes you have to go back to refresh your memory). But this last chapter was excellent, IMO.
As far as Full Metal...

The point is even when it comes to subjectivity there's black and white. If someone tells me their favorite band is One Direction I'll understand they have a right to listen to whatever they want, but there's no way I'm going to admit they're a better band than *insert any non top 100 company created band* You're just being difficult to be difficult.

It's art. There's no REAL "better" or "worse" here just like there is no such thing as a concrete "good" or "bad"; we just have preferences. So obviously everyone won't share those.

Its a very short series (5-6 episodes) so you can finish it in one sitting.

These cliff hanger in World Trigger is a love hate thing. Like its a dope way for them to end the ep but I want to know what happens NOW. Dont leave me hanging like that right when I want more.

THE WORLD TRIGGER CLIFF HANGERS ARE TRULY EPIC. THAT HAVE THAT MASTERED. I'M LEGIT MAD WHENEVER EACH EPISODE ENDS.

I also hate how the opening credits come on like halfway through the ep, ruining the flow

Overall I really like world trigger. Just 2 gripes. I wish there was some sort of consequence to everything. Like characters don't die, they bail out. So these fights aren't very tense because at the end of the day nobody is dying

Also they started introducing tons of characters during this arc and they are all generic as can be.

WELL THE C-RANKS DO NOT HAVE THE BAIL OUT FEATURE. ALSO THEY CAN BE CAPTURED BEFORE THEY ARE ABLE TO BAIL OUT.

To add on to this I feel people about to die in the next few episodes. Dude in HQ is about to get his!

That's probably the only reason I can't actually say that AOT is better than HxH cuz there's so much more of HxH than AOT to critique. But if they adapt the 2nd season to anything like the 1st season then I got not worries.

And AOT is a game changer because it IS getting people into anime who would normally think it's lame. FMAB or HxH ain't doing that...but that's mainly cuz the content is more mature, no mythical creatures, bunny rabbit lookin villains etc
