I've used bitcoin for a long time in my line of work (selling social media usernames) and I still primarily use my blockchain wallet.

I also have a Bitstamp account to exchange the BTC into dollars/euros or vice versa and transfer directly to and from my bank account.

And this is all "anonymous" and secure? I'm not doing anything hot, I just know bitcoins are supposed to have high emphasis on secruity if i understand correctly.

So how is Bitcoin price rising ? Shouldn't it be dropping if more Bitcoin are being mined or out there ?

Edit: did a quick read and saw that their may only be 21 million ever available ..

It's rising probably because of hedge funds buying up coins and churning the float. Regular people aren't moving this price.

March 11th cant come soon enough , need that ETF to be approved
post #138 of 412

Look at my previous post above.....shook out the weak hands and you add the Chinese exchanges now are getting charged tx fees causing no more crazy fluctuations (manipulation) and you are seeing BTC growing steadily and secure.  Once people know and understand that bitcoin is a safe haven for their crumbling FIAT.....more and more $$$ will be driving up the marketcap.  I can see ATH sometime this month or next month.....just look at the cot damn charts.  NOTHING is performing better than BITCOIN this past few years....this includes GOLD:

if bitcoin ETF gets approved, that is when wallstreet $$$ will come in.  This legitimizes bitcoin as an asset/market...not just in crypto but to LEGIT investors.  So if you do the math, new money brings up the marketcap (which is currently at around 16billion) and once marketcap goes up.....the price will RIIIISE aka MOOON.

Just to put in perspective.... $16billion market cap is what..... 5 NBA franchises?  This is chump chump change to what the true value of bitcoin will be.  The volumes of exchanges will rise, and it is only the beginning.  To all math scholars out there....what happens when Demand is high, but the supply doesn't change?  (21million total bitcoins will ever be circulated bros).  We are nowhere near that yet for atleast a couple of years.
