Official Bitcoin Thread

u guys sure we are not in a bubble already? dont say i didnt warn u

What makes you think this? This is the furthest thing from a technical analysis but reading thru the thread from page 1 there were a few who thought like this years ago and look where we are now. I do believe digital currency is the wave, paper money is just such an obsolete structure. It's the pony express compared to these coins

Most of these alts including ETH are overvalued IMO. All of the people who jumped into crypto the last few weeks off of hype will probably sell rapidly if prices dip further.

I think BTC should hold, as it has more seasoned holders and recognition internationally.
**weak hands** - they all sell for great prices to bag holders, then the next leg up happens, and they buy in for more

you can look at it both ways....was/is there rapid growth in crypto this year? YES.

do you see crypto market cap being stale and staying at around 50BILLION?  me....NO.

Anyone here having trouble with Blockchain? I frequently do business with customers via Bitcoin and I've always used my blockchain wallet with zero issues.

It seems like I can receive payments fine, as I took a $75 BTC payment earlier today. But several days ago I had to refund a customer $65 due to an unforeseen complication. My refund is being held up with 0 confirmations however. I tried a test payment to a different btc address right after and that's still pending too.

Seems like I'm not the only one with this Blockchain problem. Any ideas on how to fix this? The $65 BTC isn't in my balance anymore but my client hasn't received it either. It's just stuck with 0 confirmations.

The transaction:

I've just contacted Blockchain support to ask for a rough estimate on a fix for the issue and to ask if there is any risk my money could end up being stuck in limbo.

if you cant see that the market has corrected a little bit then you must be blind. im not saying corrections are bad, i love them cause it gives me more chances to buy in lower and sell higher. also corrections are great for bag holders cause they load up on more at cheaper prices.  i dont know where the bottom is but i believe its not in yet so chances we can see lower but hey i can be wrong also. im not perfect

^I get what you're saying. You're a daytrader right? The deeper I get into this I'm seeing what looks like huge potential in some of these more obscure coins like flo, amp, burst etc if only in the short term. What's your approach to the game?

There's a ton of transactions stuck, did you try increasing the fee?

Yea polo is kinda funny style. Still waiting on my ripple purchase to clear, I might try to see what's up with coinigy. I'm cashing out this time when I hit 7 gs. Could've doubled my profits if I cashed out at the last bubble but I'm learning the game thru trial and error

experts are saying POLO is a dangerous exchange. not exactly sure what that means but i wouldn't hold any of my personal stash on that exchange.  i only keep the amount i trade with on polo

Cosign. Not even gonna mess with any. Too much risk and info being pass around on all these sites

Already regret joining them all outside of coinbase

This is why I don't hold balances in anything but my own wallets. I've heard stories of people being locked out of accounts, even Coinbase has shut down accounts for no reason leaving people out of luck for weeks.

Not worth it unless you're trading small balances you don't mind losing.

Can someone PM me invitation to discord or slack for cryptocurrencies that was mentioned in this thread. Thank you.

sorry we cant give you an invite.  you have offered nothing to this thread so therefore you would leaching off this awesome group

Kinda new to this... I have coinbase and bought btc and ltc... is there an alternative for Polo or Kraken for people based in NY? NY requires them to get some license/approval and those sites dont have it..
