That does sound crazy but good luck! I hope things work out for you. Do you have a job lined up here or just coming out here to start fresh and focus on trading? Cali ain't cheap in certain areas

Hopefully I'm able to make 6 figures off cryptos this year. If so, this will set me up for 2018 to reach a million. I haven't been so excited and obsessed with something in a while.

Same here. Been thinking about quitting my job for this. This is basically a dream job, you just make money for a living . In the summer I'll be able to day trade and from there I probably won't look back

I've always been interested in Bitcoin. Had no idea there were so many other similar currencies out there. Pretty cool seeing you guys discuss all this stuff in here. Thinking about getting my feet wet, gonna do some research over the next few weeks.

Couple of weeks...dude, if the trend stays where it is...the past few weeks saw btc go from 1500 to 2000+

Just sayin, if u believe in crypto...get on instead of leaving it in a bank. Start small of course, but dont miss the train/rocket

I have another q, has anyone attempted to withdraw funds from polo? Have they ran into any problems? I'm just trying to make sure my few thousands I put into that market doesn't vanish lol

Should setting up crypto accounts, wallets, and trading platforms only be done with a VPN connection, or do y'all think it's safe to do all that with no VPN?

I'm brand new to this and thinking about putting some money into cryptocurrency, so just want to ensure I'm being responsible. Not even sure if my question makes sense given my lack of tech knowledge.

Do y'all only store crypto in cold wallets?

If you're paranoid just send your BTC to coinbase and withdraw from there. I think coinbase has higher fees tho

In few weeks you can be missing out on a lot. I'm not saying don't do thorough research, but I would suggest go to YouTube and watch some videos on cyrptocurrency, do some reading as well and while you do that set up your account with coinbase app and on poloniex, brittex, etc because verification can take a little while.

Its all subjective, but to put in the most basic way. What minimum could one invest to get started.

I started with 130 with ethereum when it was 44.00...Now I wish I put in thousands lol but in all fairness I wasn't sure about the market and was hesitant to drop a lot of money, but now I know this is real. You can start with whatever you are comfortable with, but just remember make it money you would be comfortable losing and make sure it's not your last penny

I'm not paranoid, I'm just wondering if anyone had any issues moving large amounts of currency between the exchanges.. I've read long withdrawal times in other parts of the inter webs

Yes. I have moved 5k+ from exchanges (polo/bittrex to coinbase) with no issues. If u still need validation, polo and many of the exchanges have their wallets public on the blockchain, you can see in realtime how they are moving millions $$$ in transactions (tx) every day using the blockexplorer.

If anything there maybe a delay, but this is due to demand. Once ur tx is on the blockchain, ur good.

I think this has to do with BTC being backed up, saw there was a messaged saying transaction times may take longer than usual.

Alot of newbs on Polo send things then freak out that its not there within 10 seconds, they dont know the process of confirmations and such when sending BTC, i have about 7k on Polo and counting.

That sounds good! Thanks for the responses..I'm planning on moving a nice piece of my equity portfolio into the crypto sector

Thank you, a bit more studying. Plan on getting in, in june.

I can't help to feel like litecoin might do well in the future. The fact it was added in coinbase says a lot. I know they are working on cross chain transactions, maybe once they perfect that it may bring the price up? I bought some a while back but sold them for more ETH. I'm considering buying more, especially since it's only 25.00
