Official Bitcoin Thread

It works for me man . I'm not about to jump in with my life savings or anything. It's just easier to get motivated when I'm already invested in something. Like today I got coinbase and tried to cop 200 worth of ether. From there I realized what you have to do to increase your limit and then went back a few pages and saw that ether dropped as low as 35 a few weeks ago and all this other stuff that I wouldn't have had the patience to learn if I hadn't already taken action. I just learn better by doing first

I did what you did but with literally about $50.00 just to see how the process worked on buying, but i read alot about bitcoin from years back and had a lot of interest but never followed through.

Now i see how crazy it blew up and didnt want to sit on the sidelines.

If you're interested in doing the homework check out some of the things below.

The main thing (to me atleast) is the future of digital currency and blockchain tech. Blockchain is very interesting and youll notice a ton governments, banks, startups using this tech and some with their own cryptocurrency

What you have to realize, and also be excited about is the whole crypto market in general.  Fact, it is rising and you need to get on this train.  If you diversify properly, using mathematics...you should be growing your portfolio positively, and be in a great position when that lightning in a bottle hits.  (BIG tech, BIG money, big investments come in).

I wish Coinbase wouldn't have limits on credit cards! I would deposit through my bank, but it says it would take about 5 days to process the transaction !!! Otherwise, I would legit drop 5k on Ripple right now!!!

Where else can I cop BTC or ETH from?

Unless you plan on selling within the 5 days what's the issue with waiting the 5 days for the transaction to process?
You will still be locking in the rates at the time of purchase.

I was trying to get in on this ICO (they only accept BTC), which releases in a few days, but by the time that I have some funds in BTC people are saying that the ICO will meet its target and close.

But for those who bought ripple, I suggest that you sell at 0.17 or 0.18, as this was the previous high and it will potentially retrace between 38.2 and 61.8 % after reaching around there:

you can bank wire thru GDAX and it takes a  hour or so. $40 fee all together

alts getting crushed! great opportunity to make money on these dips. good luck trading!

Yeah eth dropped today looking good and btc is taking off! Not sure if Japan is a big reason or not
well considering alts crashing and losing over a billion dollars in market cap, they are playing musical chairs with their profits and now back into btc

did anyone load up on LTC in the 6's?  its so quiet in here, nobody wants to make money?

Where do you purchase those? I downloaded the Litecoin wallet and trying to figure it out. I'm still new to this, I only have coinbase now

I've been holding steady with my ETH, but it took about a 10 dollar drop last night. I may need to consider pulling out again soon but I have hopes of it shooting up again towards the beginning of May.

I slacked by not copping BTC 2 weeks ago when it was in the 900s

you can buy on Coinbase Exchange called GDAX. at the moment you cant hold it on coinbase so i just leave it on the gdax exchange

So should we be holding on to our ETH or nah?
I only have coinbase but I see I'm going to have to diversify.
