I'd put some sort of clear coat as well as UV protectant if I went that route. They still look nice after the paint removal though...

My '09 pair did the exact same thing. Left shoe is cracked in about 4 places. Right one holding up okay. My only question is that eventually the Blue/Black will crack on your TB's/Spizikes if you continue to wear em. No way to dodge repainting by then. Either way I hope the '11 releases are more durable than the CDP III and the '09 EU release. Both of mine are cracked.
Either way if I were you, I would repaint now while they freshly stripped with a few coats of the angelus, will be much more durable than the factory.

I don't know why but all the 3's I have that have cracked on me it seem to only crack from the white paint. The color paint not so much if any at all. But if it ever were to crack I would just remove it and paint the color strip only and still leave the rest of the midsole unpainted.
