man if this was a show they would have to cast Eva Mendes....not sure who could replace her. She is soo bad.

Every episode would NEED the equivalent of Eva Mendes aka Sara Harris getting out of the bed naked to put on a robe. I don't think they can pull that off on EVERY episode, therefore I wouldn't watch.

I kinda see what you are saying but you aren't giving Alonzo any credit. The character was deep. He wasn't just a "bad guy". He showed alot of different sides in that movie. It's not like he was Tony Montana. He was teaching the new guy life lessons through the whole movie. I don't think much changing has to take place. If dude doesn't get shot up and pays the russians he would be back on the streets running thangs. Street Justice! I'm honestly thinking about writing a scriptOriginally Posted by Big J 33

I think Alonzo is too far gone into the dark side to have a compelling story... if you started earlier in his life while he was realizing and figuring out his way and the means in which he conducts his business in the movie... then maybe. But he's already in the deep end in the movie, so it would just be watching a bad guy do bad things. If you tried to make him a more developed character and focus on his family/kid or then it would probably become like the Sopranos... except like I mentioned, you would have to soften Alonzo's character and develop him into guy you see in Training Day. Or if you wanted to have him be fighting between what's "right" and the law, vs. doing things the Alonzo way... then it's a different story and character all together.
I think you would have to change the Alonzo character in such a way from the movie to make him a compelling character over the course of a series... and in doing so he won't be the same incredible character.
I'm sure most will skip over this anyway... so I'll just end with "it would be awesome"
