Why are SOMP so expensive?
Is it a QS? or limited Edition?
The Cheapest I found is 175 USD + 30 USD Shipping

I know that SOMPs were pretty limited so that may be the reason. There wasn't much hype compared to other sbs imo but because of the very limited distribution it was hard for people to land a pair unless you were in NY which got the most pairs

Good news! I snagged a pair of LMs for under 300. They are drying up in a 13. Still on the hunt for a white pair but I'll be fine if I don't get them.

I advise anyone thinking of getting the red cny shirt to wear with YOTHs not too! I ordered the red shirt and the color is actually maroon. Not even remotely close to the YOTH color. Just a heads up.
Edit: just snapped this shot for anyone wondering how far off the colors were.

The materials are better than standard. If you get a chance to get em I say jump on it. They are worth having in anyones collection IMO.

EXTREMELY limited - only one store selling online on release day (SPoT) - which went in milliseconds. not even NDC sold them online. the most limited SB release this year BY FAR. some people were calling it a hyperstrike (although i don't know if that is accurate).
from being on this thread on that day, if you didn't live in NYC or a major metro area you were only copping a) by calling random skateshops and begging them to ship to you, b) if you were lucky enough to get an oop, or c) paying resell.
i was lucky and after i struck out online i walked over to DSM on advice from my man @jLi119 and we were 1-2 in line for about 15 pairs.

Some may say so, some don't. In the end, it's all up to preference. If I were you, I would grab them before they start getting more difficult to find. Heck, this is probably one of the only SBs other than the Jordan 1 SBs that I would want to double up on this year.
