2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

I'm sure that loophole won't work too often now that he posted that vid. Seems like it's easier to have the package held at will call... it'll be there the night before waiting on you to pick it up however early you want to.

Question #1.) What are your thoughts on the video?

Question #2.) Outside of the Doernbecher release, what foundation or charity would you like to see Nike SB release a sneaker for every year?    
    
Question #3.) If you were Nike SB and you could create a SB to release for a foundation or charity would it look like? Describe what the Dunk SB would look like using the format I've provided. (You can do as many different SB dunks as you want)

FORMAT:
1.) Name of dunk and is it a dunk high or dunk low?
2.) Nickname of dunk?
3.) Brief description of materials used and coloring on side panels, toe cap, heel, tongue, laces, sole and insole. (I will accept Photoshop canvas picture.)
4.) Explain the inspiration behind the Dunk SB.
5.) How would it be released?

1: I'm very fortunate to have good carriers in my neighborhood so I really have no need to try and work the system

2: either St. Judes or make a wish foundation I do an annual softball tourney and donate my hair every other year for locks of love and make a wish respectfully these two helped someone close to me about ten years ago so I try to help them help others as well

3: make a wish batman dunk inspired by them turning San Francisco into Gotham last year for a sick child

All black low with a yellow bat on the heel simalar to the levis dunk but a bat

Not really sure about the other details just got home from the A's game and it's late here maybe I'll come back and edit this post tomorrow

I do this with fed ex all the time they're the only service that's unreliable where I'm at, could come at 830 am or 7 pm and 90% of the time they require a signature I'm also pretty sure they don't even knocks on the door at my house as I've been home when they came and my dog didn't even go crazy

1. Eh. There's always ways to work the system... worth the trouble? maybe? I'm not sure. I get stuff shipped to work so I don't have to worry about not getting a delivery, and honestly, I've never absolutely *needed* to get a pair early in the day. I'll survive.

2. I actually was a recipient of care from Doernbecher as a little kid growing up in Oregon, so I have a bit of sentiment to their cause. As far as other orgs to support, I think something that falls into the realm of cities/parks/open spaces would be nice. Something like the National Recreation and Parks Association would be cool.

3. I'm a big fan/proponent/supporter of the Surfrider foundation and what they do to proactively preserve the oceans and the ecosystems, so I'd have to go with a Surfrider dunk. Dunk low. Nickname would be the "ocean" dunks. It would look like the white version of the black rains. all white leather, swoosh would be translucent with a hint of ocean blue. Water drops would be translucent white to mimic breaking surf. White mesh tongue with ocean blue leather tab. White laces, with light ocean blue alternates. Heel tab stitched with Surfrider Foundation Logo. Premium quilted lining in a sand color. White midsole with ocean blue stitching and Ice blue translucent outsole (like the fire & ice) covering a printed image of a predominantly blue nautical map. And to get just a bit nerdy, each insole would have a sketch of a bird, one a brown pelican and one a pigeon guillemont. Both birds significantly effected by oil spills (exon & bp) to reference the Surfrider Foundation's mission.

Does customs hit you with clearance costs like they do when you buy from online shops?
I ordered a pair of Adidas from Footaction a few weeks back and customs here hit me hard with that 33%!
I might be in the US next month and had the idea to put my purchases (probably all sneakers and protein powders lol) on the post back to The Netherlands, but I'm not looking forward to sending a package worth lets say $500 and customs add an extra 33%. That isn gon' kill me.
Or don't they hit you when it's from one person to another?
I know this isn't the topic for this but it's the one I'm most active in and since I know you guys hunt down your Dunks I figured one might know.

So much stuff goes through customs every day that unless it just sticks out they really have no reason to go through it. I used to sell rims and tires. I only had one package get held up in customs. And that was because I put the lug nuts inside one of the wheels. So every time they turned the wheel over they could hear the lug nuts rolling around in the package. It took me two weeks to convince them that the package wouldn't blow up if they opened it. All this was before 9/11 so I don't think their technology was up to standards at the time.

Might just wing it if the pricing/lbs is right. I'll make sure to remove labels and tags. I'll hate myself for not owning the shoe boxes but sacrifices have to be made.

For now just answering question 1. I would never do this. I think it's Bush League. Basically, he lied about going out of town and that driver had to go to a "safe location" (I assume) and wait for him? So he might have gotten his package a few hours early, but now everyone else on that driver's delivery is getting their package a little later because of him. Not to mention the driver themselves are probably going home a little later. Now, full disclosure, I do think Foamer is a funny guy and enjoy some of his videos occasionally (I prob watch 1 a month) but now I'm thinking all the little high school beasts that are just chillin during the summer are going to see this and do it alllllll the time. It's just not right in my opinion.

I agree with you, at first I was gonna pass, but the more I see them, the more I like them.  I have an idea for a lace swap that I think will make them pop pretty good.  Plus I'm a sucker for a red shoe!

Its the yellow that throws me off, I feel like I won't get much wear out of them, but I also feel I'll regret not picking them up if I have the chance.

Obviously if there's a QS release, in store isn't an option for me.

You are right. Him alone probably won't affect anybody's delivery for that day. But this is bigger picture. When has an exploit/advantage been left alone in this game? Bots? Early links? Nike coupon codes?
