If you want alternatives to laces try using what they use on Lebrons, 550 Paracord string. They have some limited colors @ Michaels or your local crafts stores but online you can find a multitude of styles and colors. 3M, GITD, Camo, glint glint shiy, etc.

Just to note: the Floridas are actually above retail price at Tactics. Looks like they incorrectly put them at the same price as the Snake Eyes as opposed to overpricing them intentionally, though (since I remember them being added to the site around the same time).
