Went to my local after I struck out online. I showed up maybe at 8:30 place was opening at 11:30. I show up and there's only 3 people there but a couple of ghost chairs. Some dude tells me I'm 11th in line.. um... okay... couple hours go by and the line gets longer. Then just before the place opens, guys who clearly just cooked at Supreme, Blades, HoH, etc. etc. show up and cut the line saying they been camped out since 5am.. wtf is that *****. Just as they open people start pushing and shoving. I heard people at Mercer and Flight23 got pepper sprayed sht!t was getting so rowdy. Seriously people are animals. One dude even goes so far as to climb the rail and jump over everybody screaming "I'M A FK'N OG, YA'LL DON'T KNOW ABOUT ME." Ended up there were only 9 pairs anyway but damn - I'm never lining up for any sneakers ever again. Thirst is crazy out there. I'm just trying to buy a pair of shoes. Dudes be looking at it like they're trying to money up. They're hungrier than me so it is what it is I guess. End of the day I got a real job lol. I make enough where I should just pay resell and put it to rest.

this is just nuts. it was so tame there last week when we were waiting for the SOMPs. maybe it is the jordan aspect of this (and the tiffs had jordan like hype), or maybe it is just NYC these days. certainly for the rest of the JBXSB collabs we aren't gonna wait outside - raffle/online or bust.

i completely agree. SOMP>>>AJ1/SB for sure. i was in DQM yesterday (wearing the SOMPs) to ask about info for the AJ1/SB release. i took the opportunity to check out all their other dunks and felt the nubuck on many other shoes. comparing it to the nubuck on the SOMPs there is a tremendous difference - it is smoother and much softer.

I agree it's just that there's some evidence in past releases that says otherwise (ex. Bred 1 release from December). My comment was more of a reference to all the Jordan flippers who will REALLY think they can do the same with SBs again, which we already started to see since the Tiff release.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
 
funny how once the guy at DQM said they were out of shoes everybody legit bounced - zero loyalty. I've been shopping there since 2006. I stayed bc I wanted a print tee and chatted it up with the manager. Dude is really cool and gave me a tee for free. He also said moving forward they just might do raffles because the neighbors have been constantly complaining to him about the ruckus.

Appreciate it man, sorry to hear about your experience. I get frustrated when NYC gets such good allocations, restocks, etc. then I remember how tough releases can be there.

no worries - gotta expect that by now I guess. But my collection only consists of Dunk highs and AJ1s, so this particularly hurt haha.
 
Maybe a dumb question but is the release of the rivals sb pack next week going to be both pairs in one box like KO pack today? If so I just want the hoya sb and will throw an oop to whoever wants the Tar Heel sb....

I got a chance to see the rivalry pack today. I personally thought both were solid and they should be a fairly easy cop, per source.

Man you on a bit of a beer run huh? Didn't you ask about guinesses earlier? lol anyway project blitz has tauntauns and guiness in size 11.5 if you're cool with half sizing up.
