Question #1.) With it now being 2015, what are some of the dumbest sneaker related things you dealt with personally, watched happen or read about in 2014? 

Question #2.) If Nike SB were to do a new collab with a music artist this year, who would you want to see them collab with and why?

Question #3.) Every year people say that the "sneaker head" fad will wear off in the mainstream and the community will go back to normalcy. Do you believe that 2015 will be that year? If not, what do you think it will take for the fad to end?

1.  The dumbest thing this year, for the 10th year in a row, is that Nike is a multi-billion dollar company with a website server designed by 7th graders.

2.  I love the suggestion of Run The Jewels, so I don't think I can match that. ; each hand pose on one tongue tag.  But I'd like to see a Cut Chemist Dunk - that logo on the tongue tag would be ill.

3.  I don't think it will return to normalcy, but I do think it will trend that way.  The last two Jordan releases have the market flooded, and the WTK 9s were relatively easy cops for those that wanted them.  I think that trend will continue.

4.  Lance Mountain pack.  No question.  Finally had a friend decide he didn't want his, and gave them to me in a fair deal.

5.  Piggybacking on the last answer, I love that they gave an old school guy his shoe.  I'd love to see as much of the Bones Brigade recognized as possible.

6.  The Black Sheep release disappointed me the most because it was pulled.  I would have loved add the special box pack to the collection, but I can't justify the prices the ones that leaked are getting.

7.  John Coltrane.  I can't decide if it would be blue/green for Blue Train, or black/orange for the Impulse Years.  So, a pack?  A pack.  Let's do it.

8.  Not too many steals, so grabbing the Shield Dunks at the ES for half price is probably the most qualified.

9.  I think it's evened out.  It broadens your reach to find things, but also lets more people into places they might not have.  I don't really have a well-thought out answer to this.

10.  My year hasn't been all that notable, so there isn't a theme I can really unite around.

The "Square Root" Dunk

Low.

Red Suede upper all over, except:

Silver 3M Swoosh

Silver 3M Toecap

Silver 3M Tongue Tag with Red Square Root symbol on them

Wolf Grey "NIKE" in back

Alternate 3M Laces (a la Quartersnacks)

Red and White are the school colors of the middle school I teach at.  Anyone that knows me knows I'm a bit of a 3M fan.

I would award these Dunks via a national contest.  There would be 100 pairs made (ID style, winners pick sizes to get made).  Students would enter via essay and letter of recommendation from their math teacher.  However, it would not be about achievement, it will be about improvement.  Students that made significant gains from one year to the next would be the ones considered for the prize (through gains in test scores, report card, however it is demonstrated).  That student, and the teacher that wrote the letter, would each win a pair - one winner from each state.

My lesson to my students is about effort, not achievement.  I want to reward students who show growth.  My personal teaching philosophy is all about that.

1) Dude recently hit me up inquiring about some shoes. He said, and I'm actually quoting word for word, "I jus got paid so low on money"  I always wondered why I was so poor on payday!
2) Joey Bad***** - dude is just rootsy as hell, young, creative. I feel like he'd make a hell of a pair of kicks.
3) No way to tell. I think it's already losing steam with oversaturation of the market but when it will wear off? Probably in the next few years. Not 2015. It'll go as quickly as it came on.
4) Northern Lights Lows. I had to go to the website and order them. It took 3 minutes. wwaoooww.

7) Gershon Mosley. Boom.
8) DS 2007 Mocha Lows for $72 shipped.

Definitely still on the hunt for the salt stains when funds permit. Hoping they're still around at discount in 2 or 3 months from now.

At $50, you can't really lose on a pair you want. Are you going to make money on 'em? Nah...but how can you complain about getting a pair you like for half off retail?

- nope, not this year at least, since it's the air mag year.

- maybe tiff highs, but got lucky on SPoT.

- assuming you mean current Nike SB riders, idk. I do think P. Rod deserves a better looking shoe though.

- I think it's done good and bad. Good because it's a good way of letting people know who has been scammed by certain individuals... but that's also the bad part. It's easier now to screenshot a pair of shoes and sell them.

I really like this thread but I often lurk or stay away since I haven't picked up as many SBs as I've wanted to. Anyways...

#1.) I tend to stay away from stupidity but sometimes it just finds you. I'd say having to constantly read about "gym red vs atomic red" in reference to AM90 Hyperfuse IDs.

#2.) I'd like to see a Nujabes dunk. As a fan I have found that his music can captivate a lot of emotions. His album covers really are really consistent with his music and I would really love to see a dunk as a canvas for a Nujabes idea. 

#3.) No, I don't think sneakers are a fad. I do believe that certain styles become fads and have their phases. It's all recycling; it's a business.

#4.) I put in a lot of effort into getting an Armry Slate Air Max 1 that only released in EU. I thought it would release here and had to scramble to find my size. 

#5.) Can I say Bart Simpson? Or can I use a lifeline. 

#6.) Those Blue Highs with the black swoosh. I thought they would be more like the Red Devils in quality. [hoping for them to be more YOTH-like is unrealistic]

#7.) It should be more symbolic. But not only that, I would like more consistency. Let's celebrate with another "Year of the ___ "or have something to celebrate Hispanic Heritage.

#8.) Diamond Highs for retail. Overrated once you have them but if I didn't have them I just know I would try to get them. 

#9.) More harm. I feel like it's more of a hassle. Sneakers should be fun and accessible. Not everything has to be limited. But the problem is that every release gets hyped and seems like it's more than a GR. So instead of it being a casual pickup you have to put in extra work.  

    

#10.) If I could create a Nike SB dunk to represent the year I had in 2014 it would be:

    1. a dunk low.

    2. Something with the world cup

    3. Man, I am not as creative as I think I am. Hmm....I think I would definitely stay away from the Air Max 1 Mercurial ideas. But would like to incorporate a worldly         theme to the dunk. Maybe include flags or different types of materials all over the dunk. Or maybe do a pack of sponsored national teams, like they did with             AM95s and AF1s. They could use leather or incorporate jersey material in the swoosh or tongue tag. I don't know. 

    4. Well the idea is to celebrate a worldly event that brings people together. It's one of those moments where almost everyone becomes a fan. 

    5. Worldwide release. With certain variations to each release. Makes it special. 

#11.) There was no 11, but heck, I decided to splurge some more ideas. How about if there were some pendle dunk sbs. It would be a cool winter release. They could be olive, navy, grey, burgundy, black. Or since Star Wars is coming out soon they could make some all black patent dunks without being flashy looking. Get that Darth Vader vibe. Or, I wish they would have done a WWI tribute for the 100th anniversary of the Christmas football (soccer) truce they had 100 years ago. I mean they could still do it since 1918 will mark the 100 yr anniversary of the war's end. 
 
I emailed Premier about the VIP1411 promo code for my NL dunk low restock pair I got through on yesterday. And I got refunded $23.20 so my pair came out to about $97. :smokin
 
Everyone talks up on how fast Premier's shipping is, but I've noticed that it's gotten a little slower over the years, my NL lows won't get here until Saturday and they just finally got picked up today, was a time when even with the lowest priced shipping, I'd have my order within 48 hours. I guess after 5 years they know I'm not going anywhere so there's no rush to get it out the door quickly.

I'd love a black flag or circle jerks SB. Old school punk is a HEAVY SKATE INFLUENCE AND THIS IS A SKATE SHOE.

I think it's getting close. Ppl are now charging for "oops" on Twitter....and so far the remastered thing looks to be a house of cards, and SB doesn't excite me this year so far. But hopefully the real sneaker fans remain.
Also there are just waaaay too many collabs in the non nike world.
It's gotta burst some time.

The Lance mountains for sure. Had to jump through a lot of hoops. I didn't have the full set in hand for like 2 weeks.

I can tell you that too many different models are killing sb. The p rods are pretty wack, but the janos, the ba, the frees, the this, the that is just too many shoes. Dunks and maybe one or two others. Janos seem to be the choice of *******s so keep those. I will tell you one thing- my adidas gonz I just got have no glue spots.

Tiff highs. Crap shoe. Just a hype/money grab by nick and nike. Really saddened me and I dumped them for much better shoes.

It would be a glue spot dunk. Just to show how much I hate nike qc these days. It would just be like covered in glue, even the swoosh. Perhaps it could tear away to a scene of the shoes being returned.

#1.) I can't get over the whole having to have every new nike/jb shoe. I see entirely too many "worn once" for sale ads. You're doing it for all the wrong reasons. It's disgusting.

#2.) Does Just Blaze count? I think it would be cool. He's actually had roasts on uStream with a nice amount of people from NT. There are a few videos on YouTube. He's also into shoes. I believe he did a Saucony collab last year.

#3.) It'll be when the feeling of "exclusiveness" wears away. If the latest Jordan's, Kobe's, LeBron's, and KD's hit sale racks on a regular basis a lot of people would stop. That's all they do it for. They feel like it's a status symbol. Same thing with the designer belts and all of that other stuff kids are into these days.

#4.) NL highs simply because I was on the freeway when they were set to release on NDC. I had to get off, park, remember my login info, login, then wait for the link. Got through. Couldn't process my order because my bank still hadn't changed my address on file for my card. I tried both my current and previous addresses. Turns out they had the one before that on file. After that 25 minute phone call I figure I'm out of luck. I just kept clicking the link and after a few times BOOM. Good ol' size 9. #Copped

#5.) I used to be more in tune with skating. I have no clue who's out there right now honestly.

3. The whole shoe is black. Suede swoosh. The rest is Salt Stain type material covering black canvas. The canvas has geometric shapes in patterns done in 3m. The tongue tag is just a blank black one. Heel tab doesn't say anything. The tongue is black nylon. Black laces with 3m tips. Alternate laces would be black rope.
4. I can't really explain ego death. You have to experience it to understand. I'm not telling you to do it though.

I mean, getting it out in a day or two on a big restock is pretty good no? Shipping speed you can't really blame Premier for. FedEx Ground is FedEx Ground always.
