2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

My humble collection, starting w/ the Diamond High's. Not even close to whar you all have. But I'm trying haha. Got rid of every Jordan I had minus a couple the ex wife gave me (sentimental reasons). I was hugely into SB 2004- 2008 then lost the love. Got tired of raffles and RSVP with Jordan. SB is fun to collect and much easier than Jordan. Glad I came back.
NICE!

I just started getting to SB's mainly because I'm getting tired of the raffle **** too.

Picked up the Cali Highs from a store here in CLT called Ross today for $39 bucks. Was in my size 11 so I said what the hell.

Got the pair in the mail today I was asking about yesterday, not sure how it showed the ETA as Friday but got delivered today...anyway:

DS Aquachalks (no box or extra laces) for $50:
USPS Priority?

At random times it will be insanely fast for me. When I bought my black rains off eBay, they came from Cali to PA in a day

Via IG, here's a skated pair of De La Highs.

edit: Knowing that he's actually put it through it's paces they actually look like they hold up pretty well. I still don't want them, especially with those Lux highs coming out.

Speaking of De La's, saw this picture on IG. The prototype is simple but looks clean. Would look dope with yellow laces imo

In case you guys needed further assurance that the De La lows -> highs are going to sit...Flight Club has them up for $175.

I don't think one has to work in a tannery to be able to tell the difference in leather quality. Nike doesn't even use authentic leather any more, but I think I speak for a lot of us here when I say that the material used on the Tiff highs wasn't even passable...it was much closer to a plastic/PVC material than any type of leather I've ever felt.

Exactly... quality leather can be felt as well as in suede... no need to be an expert to recognize quality

That's why USPS is so unprofitable. If the standard option was a ground-like service they might actually make money. I had the tweed lows my girl got me for our anniversary come in from Alaska to CT in 2 days...

USPS aside happy (belated?) anniversary

USPS is super fast but isn't that much cheaper than fedex in my experiences. In fact, I tend to find that it's more expensive. Packages under 3 lbs I'll go to USPS. Anything else I'll do fedex since it's right next to my apartment at school.

Saw this on IG. Pretty sure he might be an NTer. Anyways, I thought this was super dope. Help those who help you, never forget that fellas

Yep, me and my girl have this mindset either each other. If I randomly see something that I think she'll enjoy, I'll cop without hesitation. It's always the best when she surprises me with a pair of dunks, like she did with sea crystals last month :pimp:

$60 for DS Tiffs huh...

Cool if true though.

Ehh I believe it. Most of the dudes who are die hard SB heads were collecting in that era. And those connections made during that time period go a long way.

I'm willing to bet a lot of dudes in this thread have "connections" or friendships that were born during the peak of the SB hype

This is true. Still have some good friends who give the occasional hook-up.

Just saw this on FB:

Dude is pretty reliable as far as early info goes...thoughts?

im indifferent. On one hand, it's dope for these shops to have a "special edition" version that can cater to a loyal customer base in their area. On the other hand, it's tough for people who want to support the shop by having the special edition but can't because they love across the country.

Case in point, SPoT might be my favorite shop period next to CNCPTS. Really wish I had an easy chance I'm getting the special edition packaging on the 20th anniversary

A few more pictures of the burnished dunks. Wasn't planning on copping anything this weekend, but these are a must. They look like they'll wear quite nicely.
