I'm kinda happy the guys doing it on sbs get burned at least.

Agreed, but there will always be people who are willing to spend whatever it takes to get what they want, partly Nike's fault for not making more stock, partly people for the willingness to pay the price. 

Definitely love watching people try and profit off of SBs only to have prices fall, lol.

Different people have different lifestyles and don't mind spending what they need to. I grew up very poor, and even now that I am older I just never grew out of the mentality of feeling guilty about spending too much money on things I know aren't necessities, you know?

I hear ya, my parent's were def lower middle class until I was old enough to buy my own stuff

I buy maybe 10 pairs of kicks a year so I figure if I have to pay resale for something I really want within reason then I will
 
I try not to over pay for shoes, but it has happened a few times

I just had to have the PIF in store pack, but that could be a slightly different story

The Stecyk JSBs was the other

well actually that is only twice so I guess I better than I thought

oh well I did get the Tiff highs last month for over retail, but they were a year old... does that count?

A year later doesn't really count imo.

I've purchased a few pairs of jordans for over retail (not my money though. gifts.) but that was 3 years ago. Since then i've paid over retail for 112s and NL lows but I get so many dunks for way under retail those purchases don't matter.

Still waiting to find a DS pair of sz 9 Roller Derby. That'll be the next shoe I pay over retail for. Those or the high lifes.

yeah I've gotten so many for less than $70 that it really cancels out paying over retail for some....

These are too nice i wish the swoosh was solid i don't really care for contrast stitching but they will be had.

I also refuse to pay resell if i get them cool if not life goes on it's not like i don't have enough shoes to wear lol.

So my Nike Dunk Low Premium SB Wolf Grey / White-LT Retro, aka "Back to the Future" or "McFly" came yesterday. After taking a day to unpackage, get a good look at the shoes, try them on, and walk around inside a bit I decided I would share my thoughts with the thread. 

The packaging:

I ordered from NDC came double packaged via the free UPS 3 business day shipping. Due to Memorial Day weekend the shipping took about 5 calendar days. Shipment arrived double boxed as a result the Nike box was in good condition with no discernible physical damage.

The shoes:
As far as look goes, what else can I say? They icey. The wolf grey and the white together are clean and the sparkles in the midsole are tastefully subtle. The true stars of course are the iced out blue sole which just pops and the "hoverboard" insole which is a nice addition. 

 Each pair comes with an alternate pair of grey laces that look promising for future lace swaps. 

Quality / Issues:

While the look of the McFly SB Dunk Low is on point I am not entirely sold on all of the materials. The upper is a grey leather which feels and looks good. Definitely on par for SB quality these days. The tongue is that pillowy soft goodness you have come to expect from Nike SB over the years. The quarter panel and toe box, however, are made of a strange fiber. While this fibrous material is not an issue for the quarter panel it definitely hurts the toebox. When I first saw the toebox online I had hoped that the fabric might help prevent the dreaded toebox creasing. Boy was I WRONG! After having owned them for less than 24 hrs and only tried them on/ walked around the house for a few minutes the toebox has already creased visibly!

Overall: 

All things considered I rate the "McFly" Dunk Low Pro a solid 8/10 and I am glad I copped. The shoe is very comfortable and the look kills. The "Air Mag" colorway, "hoverboard" insole, and "light up" inspired blue sole pay homage to Back to the Future without it seeming too gimmicky and the look is fresh. Toebox creasing is definitely  an issue, Nike SB would probably have been better off using their usual leather, synthetic, or plastic toeboxes.
 
Got my third pair of De Las today - I absolutely love this shoe, and everything behind it.

I could definitely be in on those Scorpions, though.  My favorite MK character, and works with my Boston Bruins gear.
