2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

With those army green perforated joints dubbed (by himself) as the sharkins, Plus collab dubbed as stillins...are we officially calling those cherry blossom joints the Siyes?

I wasn't trying to start a nickname thing for them I was just saying lol But honestly why not give her the dunks. She deserves it for the nice SB reviews.

Hey...don't get siye siye dunks C&D'd she seems pretty set on them

At first I was stricken with terror... but then came to my senses.

Nah the dunks are a diff blossom print than the tea. We safe.

I do love Arizona Green Tea though. Was the drink of choice during my Foot Locker days and it really was the nectar of the gods.

I'm really feeling these , and those black atlas :nthat:

Please elaborate. I'm not sure I understand.
Do you mean Nike is refusing to do store collabs?

Maybe too much time/labor and not enough revenue/guap?
I've heard this too, but no one really elaborate on it.

I don't see how, most of the recent collabs have been hits. Exceptions being the last BPs and Made For Skates....FullKits/Dorthys could fit this too.
Key word "in store"

Nike is basically Apple in terms of how they run things

I don't see why Nike would take away the ISO.... the shop covers all the cost of the ISO packaging and extras....

That would suck if they did
Basically, even though the shops cover the costs, it looks bad when 'exclusives' sit. Outside of i want to say Premier and CNCPTS, everything has been sitting.
The ****** part is, Nike instructs the shop owners to keep their mouth shut and not comment 'officially' on their collabs. Exceptions given to a few spots. It sucks

because that gives one week for a store to hype/market their shoe. One week of hype in SBs isn't enough. Especially since we are in the days of 'Lets wait for the

shoe to be on clearance'.

Thats why i always cop from shops directly that do these collabs to support the shops. It wasn't enough for a few reasons.

1. A lot of awesome ideas get shot down by nike because they're in fear of lawsuit (example: The Beverly Hills Hotel Dunk)

2. Some shops get the go ahead, but sadly they don't have the creative expertise behind it. Material knowledge ect....

3. Most of SB loyalists not wanting to pay full price (its your own right to do so)

but this is the result of it.

I'll tell y'all like this. As a collector, i'm gonna grab them Atlas dunks (both pairs) if possible and x2 of the Paul Bunyon dunks.  They legit might be

the last we see of dope exclusive instore collabs of kicks. The rest will be what we've seen. Like the 2016 releases? All been garbage so far. Most likely

gonna cut back completely on SBs. I love store collabs because its SKATING. and i *** with skate culture heavy.

That explains the Full Kit collab. The shop was quiet about the shoe when the pic leaked....then promoted as if the pics never were out, and it was like a week or 2 before the drop. Which was dumb.

I think alot of us see shop collabs as being integral to Nike SB. I don't skateboard, I'm not a part of their culture and really all in all I just like the pretty shoes...

But that doesn't mean I don't respect these shops for being an integral part of their communities. I for one, get extra excited when news of a shop collab hits because there usually is a personal story attached the shoes... something the store wants to represent themselves to be a part of. Even if the creativity is amazing, execution is superb... the release isn't complete unless the shoes represent something of importance to the shop and the local community it serves.

Anyways, Nike really shouldn't stop the stores from hyping up their shoes. To do so, seems very counter productive. So many things need to click for a release to be "successful," they shouldn't be the ones trying to stifle the potential.

I won't like every shop collab that has released or will be released, but I think it still shows if they really put in the effort to make something worthwhile.

I want a pair of those Cherry Blossoms.  The Mrs. does too, so I think it's time I get her her first pair of SBs.
