2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

not a bad last couple days, was able to order my blk ATlas pair, plus won a raffle in a FB group for jordan 1 SBB :smokin

on a random note headed to Detroit in a week, any shops that way worth checking out ?

There's too much valuable info in this thread to kill it off, IMO.
unfortunately there are wayyyy to many pages to actually access relevant information.

There are memories here but like no ones going to say 'if you want to know how canvas dunks fit, check page 2566", old ebay deals, sites that aren't selling something that isn't sold there any more.

The thread shouldn't be deleted, but theres no denying it's more a thread you skim the last 10 pages on and ask questions as opposed to an info source without the posters (who all put in tons of work)

I got you.

In Downtown there's NoJo's Kicks....which is a mini-flightclub store.

Everything else is outside the city, but not very far.

For SB's we have a very classic skateshop Refuge Skate Shop in Dearborn. You won't find any deep discounts, but you might find something old for close to retail becuase they don't clearance anything out (they got shoes dating back to gold box era). If you have the time & means mos def go there, you might come up.

The other place is PoGo is Birmingham. There are more trendy, so things move quicker there.

For non-SB's go to Burn Rubber in Royal Oak. The have most of the Nike accounts (no SBs) and make their own collabs with Reebok. Their logo is dope on fitteds too (which would make a good souvenir if you don't get any shoes).

"Embossed synthetic leather paneling on the upper resembles the swirling texture of Babe’s hide while the black and red flannel collar provides a respectful nod to Babe’s burly tree-felling bro. Add an Ox horn swoosh & a custom embroidered emblem on the heel quarter & you have all the tall-tale origins required to grow a new sneaker legend."

So much attention to detail with the Familia's.

Makes me wonder do ALL collaborations have the same resources and creativity or is it case by case depending on the shop and partnership they've had with Nike before.

A lot of the recent collaborations has good "themes" to it but not really well executed or left so much more in detail they could have went with.

I'm sure having Bratrud involved with a myriad of previous SB Dunks didn't hurt.

Yea Nike lets Todd Bratrud work his magic.

Dude's up there with Sandy Bodecker in regards to designing/green lighting iconic SB's in my eyes
