It's nice to know that the safari print on the SOMP's is subtle enough that it doesn't drastically change how clean of a shoe that it should be.....hopefully lol

Really? That metallic swoosh is a perfect compliment to that gum bottom IMO, otherwise it'd basically be another Barbershop. My opinion is very bias tho as I'm a sucker for metallic swooshes, still upset I didn't hop on the Sequoia's from last year when they went on a deep discoMetallic check....why???

Bad news for anyone who orders Diamond SB's off CCS, they just told me that they expect to RECEIVE their shipment of dunks from Nike by the end of February. Meaning for anyone who ordered your shoes, it could take up to a month to get to your doorstep. Needless to say, this isn't CCS's fault, but it's still pretty annoying. Every other shop (it seems) has already delivered all their orders, and CCS is still a few weeks away from receiving theirs. Does anyone have a guess as to why Nike is screwing up their date so hard?

It's Nike's fault because the shipment is coming from them. CCS probably updates the site based on a manifest but if certain things in the manifest don't come in on time orders that went thru go on backorder. I don't see the big deal but I rarely wear my shoes as soon as I buy them.

Well, I would imagine that if CCS had them they would ship them, no? So in order for this backorder to be so heinous, there must be a delay from Nike to CCS. Otherwise, that would mean it'd take CCS a month to prepare a shipment for one shoe release. I could be wrong, that is why I was asking to see if anyone else had an idea as to why CCS would be on backorder for the better part of a month when all other skate shops had the shoes the day of release. Just doesn't make any sense to me. If this is, as you say, a common(ish) occurrence for CCS, you better believe this will be the last time I order from them. I mean, I was cool with a week or two weeks but delivery by 1 month post-release? We might be able to cop and receive a restock by then (haha not really but you get the point).

Nah it's not a biggie, the only thing I would have worn them for was Valentine's Day anyways but it's just annoying. Everyone posting pictures of their 3 pairs and we can't even get the one we ordered before St. Patrick's day, haha.

Oh, definitely. At first I was pumped about the backorder because I'd get my pair after all the hype had died down and then it would be a little more special. But now, my own excitement will be long dead by the time I receive my shoes. I'll be pumped the day they come in, don't get me wrong, but it's like knowing what you're getting for your birthday a month in advance. It's more exciting when something's fresh.
