The box thing has not really been determined definitively. You have all sorts of things popping up in different boxes. Most of the GR's come in the all light blue box, but then something like Cali's come in the half and half. Then you have limited collabs like the SOMP's that come in all light blue box when it seems like they should have been in the half and half. It does seem that almost all the shop collabs (or maybe all) came in the half and half box. Also, I can't think of a QS that hasn't come in a half and half.

Beijing lows don't appear to be cached on SPoT yet...seems weird since Rukus and Cali's both went up on the Tuesday before release.

This is the most mature thread, so I'd like to field some opinions, if you'll allow.

I sell a pair of shoes on eBay on 8/16. Shipping was free to the buyer, and I used FedEx w/ signature confirmation. FedEx attempts delivery 3x (finally delivering on the 4th attempt). The package is signed for, but FedEx is then alerted by the person signing that my buyer (PayPal confirmed address) doesn't live at the address. FedEx then picks the package up, and initiates a return to sender.

Fast forward to yesterday 9/8, the buyer opens a case stating he never received the package, someone signed for it, it wasn't him, the shoes are on their way back to me, and that he'd like his money back. The terms of sale were final, no returns unless item is not as described. That was the only correspondence that he and I had. FedEx states the package was refused, which would mean he loses his Buyer Protection. Speaking with eBay, I was informed that they'd side with me (the seller) as he is not allowed to 'refuse' a package.

I've been on eBay since '02 and have 100% positive feedback and have never encountered anything like this. These shoes have lost some value, and it's my belief that that may be a consideration on the buyer's part, although I have no proof of that. I'd hate to risk negative feedback because someone had a change of heart (for whatever reason). But it annoys me that not only am I finding out the day it's being delivered back to me, the buyer NEVER requested to get the shoes from me. Just straight up asked for a refund. FWIW, I confirmed that the shoes were intact and in the same condition i shipped them in.

Don't know if I should stick it to him because he made no attempt to actually take delivery and risk negative feedback, or cut my losses and STILL risk negative feedback should he still feel spiteful.

Thoughts? Sorry for the thread derail.
 
I think the deal with the current era of teal box vs the split box is that early on in this era Nike hadn't produced the split box in enough quantities early on. That's why the early teal box QSs came in the GR teal boxes and not the split box... YOTH are a good example of this. That's my two cents anyway.
 
Only bigger sizes left, size 12-13. I was looking for a 9.5-10 but not in a rush to get them. I was hoping to make a trade for a pair and save my money for this weekends release. $95 for a pair is not bad at all, but now it looks like im gonna just have to wait for a potential trade to come up or I'll just wait for NDC to put their pairs back up that they took down. haha...

So to clarify, you want to know if we think it's okay for you to keep the shoes you sold and the buyer's money?

Your question is confusing. Do you mean "stick it to him" as in re-ship the shoes?

No sir, I don't want to keep the money and the shoes. Thanks for asking. I want to ship the shoes to him, via his carrier of choice. I'm willing to ship them again at my expense.

I can agree to a refund and just block the buyer, but the entire situation just doesn't sit right with me.

Any day eBay doesn't rule against you as the seller is a good day. You got the shoes back in good shape. If it was me I'd be counting my blessings and moving on.

honestly? I don't think eBay let's you leave negative feedback anymore---I know I've tried and the only available option is a to report someone. May be different if you are attempting to leave feedback for a seller (which in this case would be you)

If he leaved negative feedback, you can reply to it in the feedback. And since eBay is siding with you , honestly I'd keep it moving. He refused the package---you have documentation and everything. The only option I'd give him is you are going to re-send the shoes.

Honestly man, I'd just issue a refund and call it a wrap.

The buyer could have easily kept the shoes once they got them from whoever signed for them, then initiated a dispute against you for failure to fulfill the order (since it wasn't signed for by him).

Count your blessings that you didn't lose the shoes and the cash.
