I started from the first book in the original trilogy, Foundation, and then continued chronologically on until Foundation and Earth because i wanted to read it how Asimov wrote it. I really enjoyed the original 3 books so i continue on, with Foundation's Edge being my favorite besides the OG 3. The first 2 books have a lot of characters because time jumps forward so just keep that in mind, i had to remind myself which characters were apart of what time period.
 
ssgochin ssgochin thank you! It's in my digital library so I just gotta get around to it. I should finish A Clockwork Orange today so ill have to make the decision after that
 
Anyone read the Dark Tower series by Stephen King? I'm halfway through with Gunslinger and still mostly in the dark about what's going on.
 
Ah :\ well I'll at least finish the novel I'm on. I had to give up on the Dune series after the third novel because **** started getting dumb, even by sci fi standards.

I mentioned starting the dark tower series earlier in this thread. I finished the gunslinger while i was doing training for a past job, and I never picked up the second book after. It wasn't the worst, but it seemed like it was dragging on.. It's a series I feel i should of read back in highschool or something.

I just finished Gunslinger and I'm trying to decide if I want to go on
 
Just finished "All the Light We Cannot See".
I thoroughly enjoyed it, the chapters are brisk and the plot moves along at a fair pace. Only thing I found odd was Doerr's choice to make periodic jumps between timelines. Other than that, it's a great story with the invasion of Normandy serving as the backdrop while focusing on the impact the war has on a German boy and French girl. Nice tidbits of radios in there as well. The feels were caught heavily with this one. Would recommend

Just about done with flight club.

This is definitely one book is wish I hadn't seen the movie beforehand. Kinda ruins the whole thing. Still a very cool story and in an interesting style
 
i watched the movie first and didn't have any issues with the book. it's such al night and easy read that it didn't detract or anything knowing how everything unfolded. i like the movie ending better tbh.

I dunno I just woulda liked seeing the truth about Tyler unravel rather than being sure the whole time.

Still heartily enjoying it though. Easy break after having to deal with the slang in A Clockwork Orange
