This ducks stars series is looking like its going 7 for sure.

Even if the ducks pull this out (either coming back tonight or winning in 7) I just don't see them beating San Jose or dare I say the Kings.

Kings Ducks would be like every game being a home game for the kings.

I would take the sharks over the ducks as well. I could see San Jose going to Anaheim and getting a win. Seeing the ducks struggling in Dallas I doubt they can get a win in the shark tank.

So dejected right now. Had to spend two hours sitting on runways at two different airports and got in to Knoxville late. See Stars are up 4-2 going into the 3rd period. Get to hotel and start to watch them meltdown. And to top it off, I paid way too much for a crappy hotel room service pizza.

Good series to the Ducks and the fan on here. Took advantage of our mistakes and made us pay.

And that's a good series for a lot of these guys to get their first playoff experience though. Extremely intense and physical. Hopefully the Stars can make a decent move or two in the offseason. Gotta get another center and add a defenseman or two. I would look at hitting Gonchar with an amnesty or sweet talk him into retirement. Can't pay that guy another $5MM next year. The Stars should have both compliance buyouts available, so I'd look at dropping Horcoff, too. $5.5MM is way too much for a 3rd/4th line center. Might be easier to replace Erik Cole ($4MM) given what will be available this offseason though.

Hats off to the Stars for a great series too. They really pushed us to the brink literally and figuratively. You guys have a top 5 line in hockey locked up for a long time. No doubt we'll be playing again in the playoffs in the near future.
 
dallas...definitely a kick in the nuts with how it ended. but nothing to be too down about. pretty clear you guys just need a few pieces. i was surprised how fast the team as a whole is. just need to add a d-man or two and another weapon up front. upgrade at goalie too if possible. but i'd say your team is trending up.

At least Horcoff isn't garbage Defensively like Cole, I wouldn't waste a buyout on Horcoff when he only has 1 year on his contract. Gonchar maybe, everybody else we can put up with for one more season, not like we'll be a Cup Contender next year anyway.

Need a great 2C (PLEASE GOD STASTNY) and a D1 and we can be great. Also, Kari Lehtonen is honestly not good enough.

Get Nichushkin some more time to mature, and the trio of him, Benn, and Seguin could be filthy in a couple of years.

Kari is good enough, he just tends to freak out in situations like tonight. Lost his mind there late. It doesn't help that the defense in front of him is so terrible. They put in some really bad spots pretty often. I have a tough time pinning the other night's disaster on him. You can't give the other team that many opportunities on the PP.

Grab a top-4 defender and a second line C then fill in from there.

And Stastny :lol: If that were to somehow miraculously happen you put him on the first line with Seguin and Benn on the wings. Don't see a free agent of that caliber coming to Dallas, though.

And I'm already wasting waaaaaayyy too much time on the Armchair GM feature on CapGeek.

Campbell is probably another year away from being ready, but I'd be perfectly fine with him as the full-time backup next year.

Chara and Keith have a lot more help than Weber. I'm fine with any of those guys winning though
