I want the Caps to make a splash today. Rangers went all in, and I want the Caps to do the same. I'm talking about bringing in someone like Eberle, Pavelski, or Couture. Let's see what GMBM can pull off...or if he stands pat.

Speaking of the Caps, Ovechkin is now tied for the league lead in points. If he can continue this pace, I think he'd have to be the frontrunner for the Hart. He's playing the best hockey of his career under Trotz. Many people didn't think this pairing would work, but he's 100% bought in.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, Connolly’s shooting percentage is 16.2 this season, which would rank first among Bruins skaters with at least 400 minutes of ice time this year. Brad Marchand is leading the Bruins with a 12.9 shooting percentage this season.

i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing

but yeah that's the type of move i expected. hopefully he fits in well and can stick around. BC guy too, right? the speed and skill is definitely welcomed. interested to see where he slots in. i think the marchand-bergeron-smith line is set. lucic looks great playing with spooner and pastrnak. he might fit real well with soderberg and eriksson, but someone has to play their off wing.

As of now, Detroit has decided that the asking price for Phaneuf is too high. Lines of communication are still open, but nothing close.

Its really hard for the wings to make blockbuster trades because while we are pretty darn good, we have a great looking future in Grand Rapids as well. Kenny Holland never wants to see the playoff streak end, so the Wings wanna still be contenders once Hank and Datsyuk hang em up.

Basically, Detroit will really never make the "Win now F the future trades"

The Red Wings have never missed the playoffs since I have been alive
