OFFICIAL HOCKEY THREAD: NHL, KHL, NCAA, IIHL

I flipped it to the Cavs game for a split second turned it back to the Rangers game and saw the Lighting celebrating...

What The F***!!!! :smh:

this guys are awesome, sometimes i forget we have stamkos
1000

this loss really hurts man. we gotta wake up, stop squandering leads and stay out of the penalty box. it feels like King's gonna need to put up a shutout or two to get back on track.

That 2-0 lead was early, but still inexcusable to blow. This team has fight, they need MSG.

Nash looked a lot better with Zucc on the ice, but I can't make excuses for him anymore, it's mental at this point. Even his attempts are soft.

Lundqvist cannot allow that last goal in that spot, but he has been left to die on a lot of shots. Lot of October-type mistakes from the Rangers, unforced errors and sloppy turnovers.

Rangers had a lot of opportunities this series on breakaways to change the momentum to their side, no goals.

Tampa is just playing faster than the Rangers and their shots are more precise.

38 shots on goal for Tampa versus 26 for the Rangers. I mean, man, we can't have a differential like that when they have superior scorers. Gotta put the puck on the goal.

ive never seen a team make such a drastic change for the worse come playoffs.

i refuse to believe Zuccarello was that integral to the the teams success.

its all mental for Lundqvist now. figured hed bounce back but it went the other way.

Rangers goalie hasnt let 12 Gs in 2 playoff games since 1958 some guy named Gump (stupid sportscenter stat)

turnovers and jesus they won 3 out of like 25 faceoffs in the 3rd.

sad part is they actually look better than the team that played Capitals.

aside from Henrik.

Leafs are finally bringing in the right people and doing things the right way, with a commitment to stick to the process. This management group, on paper alone, is looking way better than anything the leafs have ran with the past 10 years. Babcock was saying all the right things at his presser. This is a coach who will demand accountability from his players, something that has been missing for an embarrassingly long time. Players are no longer running the show. It also seems like his relationship with Shanny, and his relentlessness in his pursuit, was a big factor in accepting the job. Competent management, I'm happy

. Shanny, Hunter, Babcock > Burke, Nonis, Carlyle

Yeah it sucks that the Leafs finally seem to be making the right moves :smh:

That Shanny-Babcock relationship should make for a smooth running FO operation.
