With Nike also getting the NBA contract, NHL Reebok is supposed to end in 16-17, wonder if they just get the NHL contract too?

I dont think so. Nike tried hockey and it didnt pan out. Not to say they wouldnt try again, but it would have to be a sweetheart deal I think.

My bet is that Under Armour will make a HUGE push out of all them to get that NHL Deal..

Adidas (CCM) may be able to renew it (reebok is a sub-brand since Adidas owns them)

but UA badly wants a pro sport under its belt... And they already have hockey athletes/teams under "contract" pretty sure..

Glendale is dissolving the 15 year contract for the arena they had with the Yotes after only 2 years.

Going to cost taxpayers a large junk of change fighting the inevitable legal battle with the owner.

There are two likely scenarios. 1. They get in business with the Suns on the new arena they want to build. Play at Talking Stick Arena until it's done. 2. Play this season in Glendale and move to Portland (likely) or Quebec (less likely because of the conference imbalance) next year. Only way Quebec can work is if one of Detroit/Columbus goes back to the West. That's assuming Seattle gets their affairs in order and joins Vegas as expansion teams.

Yeah the Moda Center looks equipped for hockey cus Winterhawks. Washington would be cool too, they got like 5 WHL teams there

Honestly speaking I would love Seattle to get a NHL team but in my opinion it would have to be Quebec because they have Videotron Centre ready to open up in September just in time for a NHL season only problem would be ownership because Quebecor has been trying to woo the NHL and would want ownership. Then question becomes would Coyotes ownership sell?

Coyotes ownership isn't going to have much choice in the matter if they have nowhere to play. They can either stay on as owners and relocate or sell the team. However, like I said before I don't see how it gets done without a drastic change in alignment. AZ to QUE would put the East at 17 teams to the West's 14. It's going to be a hard sell to get one of Detroit/Columbus to move back after how hard they fought to get to the East to begin with. And if not them who else? Maybe they just scrap East/West after expansion and go to a MLB/NFL non geographical setup.

Just read about the coyotes mess today, smh. Local govt getting buyers remorse 2 years in, gonna leave a brand new public arena totally empty. That point about the Super Bowl events being in Scottsdale is ridiculous.

I'd say they play out home games in PHX and hopefully move to the PNW. Is Vegas still on the table?

People are blaming bettmans obsession with southern expansion would bettman/the nhl really put in effort against Glendale to keep the yotes there?
