Rangers pissed this game away with that bad penalty by Fast and not being able to clear the puck.

I don't think it was that bad. It was definitely late, but there nothing at all wrong with the mechanics of the hit.


And in other news, Getzlaf ***** things up again with a STUPID late penalty. Up 2-0 under 3 minutes and lose. :smh:

Makes absolutely no difference as to whether it's a penalty and/or suspendable offense. What matters is how much time elapsed between the pass and the hit. Right around 1 second is generally the rule. This appeared to be a half/full second longer. Should have been 2 for interference and nothing more. Just really unfortunate Stepan got hurt.
 
yeah i just saw the hit. it's late, but it's not a headshot or cross check or elbow or blindside. pretty clean mechanically. DS was probably expecting Beleskey to peel off so he didn't really brace for it. but i've seen guys finish checks JUST LIKE THAT countless times

Belesky's hit was a fraction of a second too late. While I don't think that he should face any supplementary discipline, it's a hit that should have been penalized (boarding).

Dylan McIlrath beat the **** outta him, so there was some slight retribution right there. Just makes for a real interesting future match up the next time the Rangers/Bruins meet.

me personally, i'd go with the stanley cup champion over the metrosexual eye brow waxing goalie. not that there's anything wrong with getting your eye brows waxed and being a sharp dresser, of course
