Especially if he enjoys a nice and long career
Probably not. He hasn't reached the quota of injuries in being a former #1 Oiler pick. I think Hall may finish his first full season

I'll preface this by saying I haven't watched a ton of Flyer games, so maybe I just have been unlucky in the ones I watch. He is very good, would love to have him on my team, and what you want in a captain and what I'd like to see are most likely different.
To me, he is a player who plays on the edge of aggressive that can dip into counter-productive more often than I'd like to see. I understand his style of play demands it and that that breed of power-forward is currently lacking compared to previous eras. However it doesn't mean he can't play that style without being a distraction, costing his team in key situations, or pick his spots better.
He isn't Marchand in terms of being dirty, but in the same way Bradley is a great player, I wouldn't want him captaining my team because he tends to be erratic.
Ideally, to me, a captain is a voice of reason in high-stress situations. Obviously among many other things; but I feel that quality is lacking. At least in the games I have seen. Maybe my sample size is skewed.
Maybe you don't agree, but that's how I see it.
Now had I typed this out after you had said he was captain material, I'd have probably gotten a snide remark back as well, so it's really a lose-lose for me.
Simmer is only 185lbs?!?! god damn...could have fooled me
Repped well said @JJs07
Fair enough.
I do wonder how a player like Simmonds would work on the Oilers...
Obviously the back-end is their problem, but having that type of player going to the net with a purpose would be interesting to see how their offense might explode.
Whooooooaaaaa whoa whoa.
Please dont confuse me with an Oilers fan. That's the most insulting thing you've ever said

K so if this is true and that Bergevin has sided with ******** Therien in this "dispute" (Therien always hated PK's guts) then the goddamn Molsons need to step the hell in and force him to fire Therien. If he doesn't then they should fire both for the good of the team...
How are you gonna choose to side with a chronically underachieving, retread of a coach who's plan goes to **** wit a single injury over your star D-man who signed a huge deal just before last season?
Last time this team traded away their current best player it set the franchise back almost 20 years...hope Bergevin likes being compared to Rejean Houle...
