yeah i been here for a minute my first purchases was through kuyakoy the australian dude for some infrared 6's . I remember jersey joe, shooefleek, hata01 with the varients, neoprodigy with the samples and ekin702 with walletbreakers good days man good stuff. I also remember when you could call eastbay with the product numbers of any sneaker and when they released they would just ship them to you pending you had a credit card on file so their really were no midnight releases just call and you good.

10 yrs on the nose this week

There are not a lot of things still present from 10 yrs ago...most people get cubicle jobs, have families....life changes man.

I browsed NT while in Highschool, studying through college, working for the government, at the crib....it's been a permanent fixture that fades at times, but is always there.

A few things I remember:

-JerseyJoe
-Ekin702
-When the Blk and Red XIs were first being retroed in 2002 everyone called them "Breds"
-Hata Takashi and the first wave of Factor Variants

The overeall buzz and nostalgia of releases back in the day was far greater due to the limited amount of releases and the quality of the shoes was far greater...back then it meant something, plus Mike was still playing ball.  Now it is simply a big business....
-There used to not be so many post regarding female problems...don't know when that started picking up steam

You just brought back some great memories with the Ekin702 posts.  I think he made most of those from his bathroom

.  It was much easier to spot the Hata fakes.  Now days, I think most of the shoes kids are wearing are fakes since they don't make the real colorways anymore.  It was always... "I got the player exclusive colorway from my friend who gets hookups".

There was also the AlphaProject drawings that eventually landed him the job at Nike and the AJ1+ design that was eventually made.

Wow...Crcballer55 with the classic Scott Pollard avatar.  As a diehard Kings fan during the Cwebb and J-Will days that brings back memories...I remember that avatar and NobleKane from the Sports forum during all of those classic battles against the Lakers back in the day.

I remember Ebay before Paypal came out....Folks doing trades on here and paying with money orders and such.

The same folks wearing skinny jeans and vans now...were the same ones wearing size 60 authentic jerseys with matching pinwheel fitteds back in the day....

I know the more people that most will trigger some virtual memories...

Let's also not forget about stuffing your shoes so they wouldn't crease.

Should we all have a summit in The Lounge

Also... RIP to Muscle68.  That guy made the General forum worth visiting every day.  Him and his feuds with RyanKMD were classic.  Not to mention the epic "Ryan's sister" post.

Yes...stuffing the shoes so they wouldn't crease is right up there with folks wearing rubber bands around the cuffs of their jeans to show off their shoes, the entire shoe.  I knew the rubber band epidemic hit a new low when some dude was rocking rubber bands on already precuffed pair of adidas track pants.

Woah!  I haven't seen a thread with him in it for several years.  I thought there was a thread that said he passed.  I'm so glad to hear he's doing well!  Still... RIP to the old days when he would post updates on his late night antics.
