if they're like any of the other basketball shox sneakers, they'll have zoom in the forefoot.

probably not going to go in on these. air shox is just like a softer shox that can pop, then you'd have a dead shox column lol. also, it'll still put my foot as high off the ground as normal shox. and if they really wanted to put air in the back they should just make it a 180 bag. but i guess we have the lebron 9 for that for $165.

95% of the time, if the shoe has zoom in it, it would say so in the item description even on shox shoes. However it doesn't say the hyperballers has zoom...

dont feel like they have zoom. if they did one of the descriptions somewhere would say zoom. i think it's funny they're listed everywhere as air shox hyperballer but the box says shox air hyperballer and my receipt says nike hypershox.

you're right but i wouldn't always rely on the descriptions on ndc to tell me what's in their shoes. and past shox shoes never (to my memory) had 'zoom' in their names anyway.
i don't expect them to have zoom nor do i care because i won't be getting them anyway lol. just sayin.

Wow... These looked amazing... No lie. I haven't balled in a shox since the BB4s... This might be in my rotation.

Some quick pics. These were placed right next to the lebron V3s and V2s, and I couldn't believe how amazing these looked.

The shoe is built beautifully... The toe box wasn't so slim... It was so apportioned/proportioned to it's body. Sorta like a Lebron shoe, but not as bulky.

This shoe is no joke fo'real. Consider these copped & + more

it rained today, so i still haven't played in them, but i plan to play in them tomorrow. i noticed the front of the sole says nike air on it. is there air in the forefoot of these things are not? i've yet to find any description that mentions forefoot cushioning.

Finally played in these tonight. For reference, I'm 6' 2", 330 lbs. and primarily play streetball at a popular park in town. Due to my size and 13 years in the ring as a pro wrestler, my body is pretty beat up and top notch footwear for me is a must. I was very pleased with the traction and ankle support, two things that are very important to me as I have a very bad ankle and the court I play on is often very dirty/sandy.

But more than anything, my left heel is in constant pain and heel cushioning is more important to me than anything. Since October I'd been primarily playing in the Lebron 8 before recently switching to the 8 PS. I think the hyperballer did a noticeably better job of protecting my heel than the 8. My forefoot is a little sore and def was missing that amazing airbag from the 8, but I the tradeoff was worth it for me.

I usually need a new pair of bball shoes every 6-8 weeks since I play outdoors so much and wear through the traction pretty quickly. I will definitely be buying another pair of Hyperballers when I'm done with these.

Here is a review from nikestore.com that I thought was very accurate:

Let me start by putting myself out on a limb here, THE BEST TRACTION OF THE YEAR (maybe ever) . I really like the modifactions they made to the herringbone to make it even more vesatile and useful. The cushioning is great (for the most part, more on that later), very impressive impact protection (better than Max Air!) and response time. I will go out on another limb here by saying that the Air Shox is better than Zoom Air when it comes to response time, etc. Seriously Nike, if you really read this review then you will make more shoes with Air Shox. Hyperfuse provides great durability and breathability. I really like the padded collar. My only negative to the shoe is that cushioning is seemingly non-exsistent in the forefoot. Nike, if you make a Air Shox Hyperballer 2 then please add some cushioning in the forefoot. Maybe a Air Shox, Zoom Air combo? Why not? Maybe a Cushlon sockliner and midsole? Just meet me halfway. If you wear a thicker pair of socks it really doesn't make a difference, so that is a easy alternative. Good job NIke, the Air Shox Hyperballer is now my go to shoe. And again AIR SHOX IS BETTER THAN ZOOM AIR AND MAX AIR WHEN PLACED IN THE HEEL!!!! NIKE PLEASE LISTEN TO THAT! Anyways, this is a must have.

Anybody else using these for ball? It's my full time shoe right now and before long I will need another pair. Anybody know when this colorway is dropping?

Really hoping those release in the next month or two. Anybody know?
