What's the difference between pomade, cream, putty, wax, fiber, etc.?

I don't know much, but I'm pretty sure wax is the strongest out of all them. You only need a fingertip of it to hold your hair in place and or style it. Other than that I don't really know the differences.

I tried all but wax.

I don't really know the difference either haha.
But Cream and Pomade are really weak, I don't really like them.
From what I remember, putty was exactly like hair gel. Maybe less durable?
I like Fiber a lot, it's pretty strong, I use that frequently. In my opinion, Fiber is like hair gel but not shiny and less durable.
With Fiber you can also change your hairstyle throughout the day which is pretty neat.

Putty is a weaker version of gel?

And what can I find that is strong to put my hair up and give it shine? I don't prefer gel because it gets flaky which is a no go for me

^pomade gives you a decent shine, holds well imo

if you don't want the shine try the clay from aveda. not as shiny though
