Playing ball in Zoom Air vs. Max Air...thoughts?

Exactly. I sometimes struggle with an old ankle injury so really I just want something that fits well, is comfortable, with good traction. All this other stuff that dudes worry about (a few ounces, breathability, the list goes on) really doesn't matter to me. I play in everything from 360 max, 180 max/forefoot zoom, dual zoom, full length zoom as long as my feet feel right.

I'm not married to any specific technology, but it just seems that when I try the shoes on that I like they're usually Zoom based. I have a pair of Hyperfuse, so maybe I'll look into those Hypermadness kicks.

im a player that plays above the rim, and takes alot of hits and I just feel like MAX air helps MY style of play

I tend to see more 1, 2, and smaller 3's play in zoom compared to max.
lol... but remember.. dunking is not the only part of my game

I'm into collecting Lebron 7 and 8's. But when it comes to ballin' I prefer a low to the ground and light shoe despite playing PF/C. I'm 5'10 and 180 lbs. Not much big guys from where i come from. My rotation are Lebron 7 PS, Hyperdunk, Hyperize, Hyperfuse and Lebron Ambassador 2. I guys it would be important to consider your type of play and how a shoe feels on court for you.

i just like full length anything, whether zoom, max, or even shox. it feels weird to me when forefoot and heel don't match.

I don't like air max cause it's too high off the ground. The higher the shoe off the ground, the higher chance of an ankle injury..

I'll stick to zoom where I can feel the floor

Does zoom air provide any impact protection?  I know everyone loves the responsiveness but I try to be aware of my knees.

Yes it does. If bigger guys in the NBA can play in Zoom then you should be fine unless you already have bad knees. And if you have bad knees i don't think you should be playing physical sports.
