A$AP

Ferg got a solo deal at RCA:

Polo Grounds Music/RCA Records has signed another standout member from the A$AP Mob collective – A$AP Worldwide artist A$AP Ferg. With his energetic single “Work,” Ferg is currently taking mixshow radio airwaves by storm, including New York City’s Hot 97.1 and Power 105.1 stations, and is further solidifying the depth of talent being honed by partners A$AP Rocky and A$AP Yams’ label A$AP Worldwide. The debut single will be available for purchase on iTunes January 22nd.

“I’m just proud right now because this is everything we wished and hoped for,” commented Rocky on Ferg’s signing. “A$AP Ferg worked hard for this and I put all my faith and backing into him. I feel like ‘Work’ is our generation’s “Sippin On Some Syrup” [Three 6 Mafia feat. UGK] or “Chickenhead” [Project Pat feat. La Chat & Three 6 Mafia], it has that feeling.”

Produced by up-and-comers Chinza & Fly, Ferg’s “Work” originally surfaced this past summer on the A$AP Mob’s self-released mixtape, LORD$ NEVER WORRY, and followed with a enticing self-released video (directed by Shomi Patwary, Thuan Tran, & Ferg) that has already amassed over 1.3 million views on Youtube. Recently named one of the “50 Best Songs of 2012” by lifestyle publication Complex.com, the lively track has become a fan favorite, along with other shining mixtape cuts “Choppas On Deck” and “Persian White.” The Harlem native has captivated audiences with his gritty sound by delivering memorable performances this past fall while touring on A$AP Rocky’s headlining “LONGLIVEA$AP” national tour.

I find myself not really giving this album spins at all anymore

what do the rest of you think of the replay value
I just listened to it from back to front on Tuesday. Still mess with this heavy.

A$AP Ferg isnt good enough to warrant a major deal but this is how it is nowadays

Dope track but that's blast fo' me.

I Come Apart ft. Florence is dope AF. Hip hop heads might not appreciate it, but the track displays Rocky's versatility. Naw he's not in the same class as a Kendrick Lamar as far as a lyricist, but it's hard to deny that he has talent.

I thoroughly enjoyed this album when it first "came out" I find myself listening to it less and less though. I was talking to my homeboy about it, and he said rocky is like the new girl at school whose different so she catches your attention, but upon further evaluation different =/= appealing. More or less I agree, I feel like a lot of the stuff he's doing Is to garner attention for branching out. Theres no way he honestly woke up and thought that dress looking outfit was hot, but its "high fashion." The skrillex joint was mediocre, the Florence joint was wack as hell, the santigold track was uninspired, 1 train's concept was cool but how many people are really playing that song front to back, even riding with Lana was ehhh (ill give him the benefit of the doubt cause supposedly it was a reference track.)

Bottom line Rocky shines when he's on his pretty mother F**ker swag and his hood stuff. I get he's trying to branch out but it doesn't work.

GHETTO SYMPHONY IS THE BEST TRACK BY FAR
sans Ferg..easily his worst verse ever

Had the album for a couple weeks and my feelings on it haven't changed much.  If you don't care that much about what's actually being said/ enjoy ignorant music for what it is, the majority of the album goes.

Rocky just had the misfortune of dropping after GKMC, which will be the standard for a long time to come.  Different artists, but for anyone with ears, LLA not in the same galaxy as GKMC.

Agree with the album summary, it was just boring to me, the song stood out like a sore thumb amongst the other monotonous tracks, as you said ferg killed it :smokin
