After visiting the Ye thread, those losers put me on to that B-Grade Future from Brooklyn. What do you guys think of the blatant disrespect that involves stealing this man's adlibs?

^^^^Ecatly. But THESE are the people that win Grammy Awards. Not some "groundbreaking music".

What Future has put out over the past year, have been more than "Grammy Worthy". But how much stake should we have in an award show that doesn't really understand hip hop culture in full, and would never honor an artist like Future....regardless of quality and success.

Which is why a real hip hop awards show is needed. BET one got off to a good start but lost steam quick & good lord at Em winning rap album of the yr for Relapse :x

Even Future said he would want a Grammy.

Grammys is like the NBA of awards...

Although we say, why even care...to an artist that's one of the biggest recognition among their musical peers to recieve.

An analogy...

The highest level of sports for Basketball is the NBA - Professionals, Elites .  The Grammy is like winning the Olympic Gold Medal in your skills set among your peers across the board.

All those other awards are like the ABA,  ABL, CBA, etc... Minor/Semi-Pro.  (AMA, WMA, BET, MTV, NAACP, etc)

Who cares if you win a BET awards...that award holds no true value

Nobody is announcing their career like this:  "Future, a BET award winner."  What do we generally hear and is recognize among everyone?

"Grammy-nominated/Grammy-winner, Future"

That's the bs that the Grammys relies on to stay relevant.

If the country music awards attempted to give an award for best rap album, people wouldn't take it seriously because there's no reason to expect them to have the insight into the hip hop community for the determination of what the best rap album of the year would've been.

The Grammys have consistently proven that they have very little insight into the hip hop genre/culture, and it's that same bs rhetoric that you're perpetuating that allows them to get away with it.

Instead of trying to advocate for their poor evaluation of what the culture is about, people ought to invalidate the Grammys and validate the award shows that actually know wtf is going on in the genre.

Only a truly clueless award show would fail to nominate March Madness, nominate Back 2 Back, and then still claim to be knowledgable about the music. Get out of here with that nonsense fam.

Will he? No. But that's because the Grammys are out of touch with the hip hop community, as I mentioned before.

Does he deserve to win awards? Undoubtedly.

Well, it is what it is...The Grammy holds weight; sales increase after winning and worldwide recognition.  From what I understand, even a nomination opens a lot more doors in these artists career there-forth. 

I'm not disagreeing with you about the Grammys. They lost the creditably among people years ago based on the past winners.  But at the end of the day, to an artist its one of the  biggest recognition/achievement from this day.

Now on the flip side of March Madness and Back to Back.  Although, I don't agree with Back to Back being nominated, I understand why...verses March Madness.  Back to Back made the entire world and music industry talk about it.  (MeMe, sound bites, commercials, professional games, etc)  Although March Madness is a dope and non-arguably the hood anthem/people choice song of the year, that major impact was not as measurable as Back to Back. Lets be honest.

That abrupt chorus drop was filthy the first spin. I know the project gets alot of hate but stays in rotation for me.
