Official FUTURE A1/FBG Thread

And Dex Osama was next up in the street lane. We would never know how far those dudes wouldve made it.

One of those Dex songs in the YT comment section said "do klan members write his lyrics or something?", then I actually listened to the song and couldn't help but to laugh. It was that song Boyz In Tha Hood.

R.I.P. but lets not get carried away now
He was a remix away.

He woulda got the co-sign and possibly the OVO deal Makonnen got.

And IDK if you know but he made all his beats too. So in addition to the standard hooks everyone comes to the new guy for when he has a popping single, he also would have been giving beats to everyone.

He coulda made some crazy **** with Drake just by sending him some beats and 40 going back and adding his touch.

Even if you just look at his two mixtapes plus his 3 loose records (Lonely, Dap You Up, Erica Kane); he really didn't have an outright wack song.

Knock was def about to be outta here.
Man I hate that Knock died so young man.  Young dude from the city.  We all watched him grow up.   Sad that he died right on the brink of him blowing up smh

Ehh.... My one issue with this article....Is that this tape was never meant to be that deep lol.   Alot of over-analyzing.  This tape was a throwaway that they compiled from the library of songs they did over a stretch of a week.  This wasn't planned and crafted years in advance to be some masterpiece
laugh.gif
.   They digging into feelings and other stuff thats mostly irrelevant on a tape full of party/drug/kickback songs
laugh.gif
.  The tape is honestly more about the moment than anything.  If you are an actual fan of Future/Drake you know that this is nowhere near top form for either artist.  The tape aint all-time great content wise, and its not gonna win any Grammys,  but thats not the point of it lol.

I see why some people hate certain music so much.  Especially some of these bloggers.  Instead of just taking it and enjoying it for what it is, they compare and overanalyze it to the point where the magic and moment is lost.

That's he #1 excuse people use for lackluster music. Take it for what it is lol. Wth does that mean man.

Take it for what it is, means use the music for its intended purpose.  Its feel good music.  Not meant to change the world

That means instead of sitting in a dark room on a laptop analyzing it to find every little fault, call some b*****s over, get faded, and let em shake they a** to it

.   Thats what its meant for

I never heard this until drake was apart of a mediocre project tho. I mean should I take bp3 for what it is and do the same? Or any other not so up to par project a rapper puts out. U wanna be up there with the big wigs cool, but this is gonna happen with any piece of music u drop. Let's pop in hood billionaire and take for what it is or the carter 4

This is the thing tho.....Nobody is claiming this is the best project of all time.  Its nowhere near either artist's best.  Im sure no one will argue that.  Does that mean it's absolutely not enjoyable? No.  It doesnt have to be the greatest work of all time for it to be enjoyable.  Honest to me was futures worst, but that doesnt mean I dont like a few cuts off of it.  MCHG might not have been Jay's best, but I can still *** wit it.

The world didnt end just because this isnt the best mixtape ever
laugh.gif
.   But I guess if I listened to this joint accepting nothing less than 56 Nights or Comeback Season or True Story I'd hate it too
laugh.gif
.   Funny thing is, most of the people with the all the extra criticism are blogger nerds and dudes that are on the internet all day.  Im sure Drake and Future care nothing about pleasing this vocal minority lol.  The streets and the clubs are on it heavy

Ijs the take it for what it is argument is never applied on nt until... Now. Is it trash no but its below average at best. What do u expect the critics to say when a project with the most hype since mchg comes out and is... Mchgesque. No excuses its a few decent songs on here cool they will spin it in the club right after stanky leg and nae nae

i HATE that my guy got hit up . i wonder if his family still gone drop 9/11 . idk why he never did a death on me video , he woulda been outta detroit a lot sooner

The statement that he would've been hotter than Future was out of bounds and its not arguable. Would he have popped? Maybe.
Did he have a unique sound?
No, his beats and flows sounded like the sound coming out of Chicago, especially Duke Da Beast and em.
He made a really good banger and I've enjoyed his songs but you gassin it

Again R.I.P. to the young man, he seemed very positive, saddening he had to go

a blinkin a blinkin hop out ya feelings I'm just checking a comment. No one ever says that **** for any other projects but this one we should enjoy it for what it is [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

neon coke neon coke it seem like he ain't wanna leave the city man. He wasn't even pushing the song that got all the industry dudes attention. Video and tape should've been dropped. I understand the 9/11 theme but he could've came with another joint that day or something.

And speak would've been on but to say he would be as big as ___ is a joke cuz u just don't know. I'm 99.9% sure he wouldn't be as big as future is right now.

C'mon fam. Them percocets got you in your feelings padre. But you're bugging saying that this is the first project you've ever heard anyone say "enjoy it for what it is" regarding music. People were saying it in this very thread about DS2. Damn near every artist's music deviates from what some fans would prefer, and that's almost always a response they get.

Nah b ds2 was considered a part of the 4 peat. No future fans said that ****. How many times dudes that are fans of a artist say that? That's the new nt excuse when something isn't as good as it should be. Might as well take that Dom Kennedy for what it is and let it rock.
