you're my bro too. You actually know what Future sounds like. I gave this Purple Reign 2 spins and was vastly disappointed. Again these are my opinions and I'm not trying to press them on anybody but I'm sick of the frontin. People wanna act like everything that future drops is hot because it's what the "in" crowd is bumpin. Social media got some of y'all lookin years late. This mans music is on the decline. As one of the biggest future fans once upon a time, as someone who has smoked with this man as well as DJ Esco and Cory B in plenty of venues I've hosted I can tell you this man is about his money now. The passion for the music isn't there anymore. If you like the Atlanta rap scene and the gritty tone of it then you know that Thug is next to blow up. Future wants tour money and album sales. He will make radio jams at the cost of alienating his real fans that were beefing it up with him back when he was rapping about selling mid and calling himself Rocko's little brother.

he'll put out a few hot songs every now and then but no where near as consistent as future or could drop a solid body of work front to back
This. I listened to ppls suggestions on him and hes too hit or miss
Future is consistent with exception of WATTBA but that wasnt his fault really

I don't listen to radio. Matter of fact? I can't even tell you what AZ's radio stations are if you held a gun to my head. I'm too lazy to cue up power 105.1 or Hot 97 on my iheartradio to boot. The app just rots on my phone.
Thug sucks IMO. That's my opinion. You're entitled to yours, but these assumptions your part are absolutely ludicrous.
I've heard his tapes, his loosies, etc etc etc.
Nothing is going to sway my opinion. He's trash.

Prime example is WATTBA. It blows my mind how future fans really see that as anything outside a attempt to sell records and cash in. Nothing about it gives me that feeling. Beast mode touched a ***** soul and 56 had me thinking about my life. All that **** did was made me nod my head to the beat.

I rocked with Future from the jump, and still enjoy WATTBA. It was more of a "victory lap". Dudes out here calling it trash while like 7/11 songs

It is what it is.Been listening to this tape, and if people consider this as Future not staying true....then you are just fronting and lying to yourself. This tape is right in line with 56 nights. fronting on it a lil bit. Especially since he rocked with the 3peat, but hated DS2 for some reason. I feel like if this tape dropped in January of last year....he woulda rocked with it, and the masses wouldn't have. I understand where he's coming from though. But it's ok to enjoy an artist that the masses blindly d-ride. Especially if he's making quality music. I seen post from early last year with all of us talking about how Future was quietly putting out his best work on the low....before it became cool to bump future. Mainstream caught on and D-rode, but the quality was there....they were just catching on because people told them to.
Right now, it seems that a lot of people aren't even qualified to judge Futures music and sht. It's either immediately hot to the new trend hoppers, or its "trash"....to the contrarians and "real hip hop" heads.
I can't say where this tape stands for me as of right now, but I definitely enjoy the sound and direction of the tape...and it has the potential to grow on me, or become redundant.
